Yep I agree Monkey, certainly when they are small they are as expensive as you make them. I think as well with 2nd babys you have already learned what was good and what was pants, eg for this one I am happy with Mr Ms own wipes rather than say Huggies (unless they are on offer!) and I know that Mr Ts nappies were really good so no need for Pampers, although that said Pip is still in Pampers at Bedtime as I found they do last the 12 hours overnight much better. Ive started popping 1 baby item into the trolley a week, depending on the offers so will have a bit of a stash by time Pea gets here, my Nan and Mum are going halfers on a pack of nappies every couple of weeks too so they are building up nicely too :T
Still nothing on Mr Pips job situation, he has 3 interviews next week though so fingers crossed one of them comes good.
Sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo annoyed with myself in Mr Ms today :mad::mad: I had a voucher from the Sun for £5 off a £40 shop, got most of the way round and because I had all Savers stuff I thought I hadnt spent enough so decided to pop a few extras in for in the freezer and when I got to the till I had spent £54!! Got fiver off still and it is all stuff we will eat at some point but even so grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr defo taking a calculator next week.

YUK did not sleep at all last night as I was having a total stress about everything going on, no Mr Pips job and also thought of tonnes of stuff that still needs sorting before Pea arrives. Nothing like loads of stuff to do and no money to sort it to stress you out right?
Realised I have nothing to store Peas clothes in as everything we used last time is full of Pips clothes, how did I not think of that till last night???? Also stressing as they will have to share room once Pea comes out of our room and I have no idea how we are going to fit everything in. Any suggestions?

Oh dear, I know obviously easier said than done but try not to let yourself worry too much as it's not good for us at the best of times, let alone when you're pregnant.
When you say about storing the clothes, do you mean like the stuff you're not using at the time, so other sizes, or for when it is in use, such as wardrobes etc?
I'm in the same situation as you with regards to the room sharing. At the moment my 2 year old is in his own room, and baby is in with us. I think we may just keep the baby in with us for longer, as we don't need the room quite as much in our bedroom as all we really do in there is sleep and get dressed etc. Whereas DS1 has lots of his toys in his room and plays in there a lot, so the space is more valuable to him.
We are thinking when DS2 does go into a room with DS2 we might swap bedrooms as we are in the bigger room and he is in the smaller one, but would make more sense to switch. Wish we had just thought that far ahead when we moved here though and could have just done it from the start as his room has been decorated nice and play roomy!!
Think it will be later rather than sooner though, and besides, before we moved before having DS2 we were only in a 1 bedroom flat, so DS1 was in with us anyway as there was no other option, and he was about 1 and a half when we moved, actually, more like 1 and three quarters!!

Nope Monkey I was a complete dimwit and hadnt got anywhere to even store clothes Pea will be wearing straight away like first size babygrows and stuff. Went to Argos and got a 4 drawer plastic thing that will serve a purpose until we decide what to actually do with putting the 2 in together.
As you say with yours it will be a while before they have to share but we are also thinking of swapping rooms over as our bedroom has much more space and we can make it much nicer. I cant remember if you have boys, girls or one of each? I just know Pea is going to be a girl just to make it even more awkward for us!!!
Feeling a bit better this afternoon, got the drawer set thingy for £14 so thats one thing temporarily sorted. Ive had a massive declutter upstairs and chucked lots of bits away, sorted some others and found some extra room around the house.
Does anyone else have a bit of a battle of conscience when it comes to decluttering? Part of me wants to keep EVERYTHING in order to be MSE, no point chucking away what I will eventually use right? But then where do you draw the line! I chucked a few toiletry bits away, I know I would have eventually used them but seriously they have been there for about 2 years ! Found some of Pips old nappies, that we had bought just before he potty trained, lurking in wardrobe so taped them all up and popped them up the loft. All his old clothes go up the loft so can get those down if Pea is a boy.
Right sooooooooooooo tired now as didnt sleep and then have been on the go all day. Off to put my feet up and have a rest.

glad u got a storage unit sorted, a friend of mine has one of each, she moved the little bedroom around to get the ed one side and the cot in the other, they've moved since, but she said you soon get use to what u need and then u find nooks and crannies, and buy those vac bags, (can get some roll versions from home bargains or pound land), roll stuff up under the cot,
xxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Yep defo think vac bags are the future! Found a website on Pinterest that you put dimensions into and what furnitutre you want in it and it works out the best layout, going to give it a try.Debt at LBM [strike]£17,544[/strike] £5700:TOver £14,000 PAID OFF :T

Both the nappies and toilet roll are good deals
Might have to pop in and get myself some.....
Yeah mine share, we only have a 3bed semi so they have too. We have 3 girls in one room, its the second bigest in house (ours is the big one but not much bigger) and we have a toddler bed and bunk beds. We only have one wardrobe and one chest of draws at the moe so they have to share them. We use every inch of storage that we can lol. under beds have toys and under the wardrobe and on top etc. DS1 is in box room and has all his and DS2s bits in but DS2 is in our room still (He is a really bad sleeper and DS1 is a really good sleeper ) We have just had to find the best way to store everything! So lots of boxes and being really organised. ( ment to be but im still getting the hang of it:o) You will be fine with them sharing even if pea is a little girl they wont mind sharing for a very long time yet
I have the same problems with decluttering but im trying to be ruthless atm as its over taking me lol so im just chucking (and recycle, charity shop etc) loads of things...i need to as we have tooooo much stuff atm.
try not to worry everything will be fine and you will all fit in well im sure xxGC: Nov: £60.22/£450 Oct: £338.48/£450, July: £363.05/£450, June £447.98/£500£2 savers No68: £104/£100 :j:jmummy to: 8yr, 5yr, 3yr, 2yr, 1yr. No6 Due Mar 2013 My world.:j0 -
Thanks Mummy
Yes was thinking Bunk beds, I think Ikea do a mini set so not quite so high off the ground as Pip will only be 4 by time they share so dont want him rolling off top bunk! Ikea also do the storage shelves that look like a cube, you can put boxes into them or have them as open shelves for toys thought they might be handy.
Was also thinking of gettting rid of wardrobe, it takes up so much space and 95% of his clothes go into a chest of drawers anyway. Only prob would be when he is at school and has shirts but I think alot of them here seem to have polo shirts now anyway, especially the littlies.
If Pea is a boy at least they can share toys, REALLY dont know how I am going to fit Girl c-a-rp as well as boy c-a-rp into 1 room!!! :rotfl:Debt at LBM [strike]£17,544[/strike] £5700:TOver £14,000 PAID OFF :T

Our school uniform is polo tops aswell. We fill the wardrobe in girls room though as DD2 has lots of dresses as she is my little girly girl
If you get rid of the wardrobe but they get the odd shirt they need hanging you could always just put the odd one in your wardrobe??
We were looking at them storage units from Ikea last night
We are thinking off putting the TV on wall and getting some of them to store toys etc in the living room
They look like they will work well for toys. As for fitting all the c-a-rp
it starts getting smaller now pip is getting bigger so his will be less of the big bulky toys and more things like small bits of lego etc soon
You can also get bunk beds that are slightly smaller in lenght but fine for kids so takes up less floor space (ive been looking at them while also looking for short mid sleepers as DD3 needs a nw bed as ds1 needs the toddler bed) xGC: Nov: £60.22/£450 Oct: £338.48/£450, July: £363.05/£450, June £447.98/£500£2 savers No68: £104/£100 :j:jmummy to: 8yr, 5yr, 3yr, 2yr, 1yr.
