I have struggled with unsecured debts for two years. My husband and I seperated a couple of times due to the stress of financial probs and we have now seperated for good.
I have opened a cashminder account pre bankruptcy. The strange thing is I am convinced the judge is going to decline the application and I dont know why!! This in itself is worrying me sick.
Welcome to the Janclan patsypat - fancy us being the same day.... :T .
I think you may be suffering from the "wobbles" that we all seem to be going through at times. I feel as brave and happy as the next person most of the time and then I get all these paranoid feelings that it will go wrong.
I find that the cure is to post on here and lots of lovely people come along to reassure me that it will all be fine ...... and voilaI am happy again.
Seriously, don't worry (she says!) I don't think it will be anything like as bad as we imagine sometimes and providing you have taken advice from one of the charities and you are not stashing away millions, they won't say No......
Roll on Jan.... :rotfl:

I expect no less that a blow by blow account from Donna - I hope she takes notes!
Donna - I was offered the 6th Jan - I could always move it forward and beat you to the winning post! No, on second thoughts you can be the pathfinder.....

Yes I will keep you all posted and let you know how it goes. not sure about taking notes but I am sure the experience will be memorable! It will either all be a bit of a blur or it will last for a painfully long time!BSC #215/No.1 Jan 09 Club0 -
I came onto this forum several months (over a year in fact!) before I actually did the deed. I read about so many BR experiences and every single one were positive about the actual court experience. I knew I was doing the right thing for myself and was well informed - thanks to this forum - that I wasn't nervous in the slightest and slept well the night before. All of you will be just fine and I'm sure you will come back and say you didn't know what you got so worked up about. The hardest part of BR is the lead up to it because of all the unknowns. Once you get past that and get to the day of court that really is the easy part.

Hi meimei
It is a big relief when you actually decide to go ahead and go for BR but it will soon be over. I think once you actually decide on the date, then it gives you a focus and spurs you on into filling in the forms.
Hope the VAT man is kind to you. Sounds like you and Clanbailey might have some things in common.
welcome to the club.
thanks for your support, this board and thread is great, its good knowing people are going bk in jan 09!
i spent xmas in london with my family and all they did was annoy me and it made me think, i dont even get as upset with bk as i do with siblings who arent doing anything with their lives.
cooked and slighty burned my dinner this evening but it was so nice to know that i dont need to go out and buy junk food, wasting money and spoiling myself basically.
i dont know why but time just seems to fly by, i better get on with filling out the forms hehehe
happy new year everyone :rotfl:BR date 13/01/09 :T0 -
Just shout if you need help with the forms.
