I wish I had a little "Dot Cotton" for my laundry, it is an ever growing mountain with three "men" in the house. I do have a washing machine and tumble dryer. I would probably be at the laundrette every day without them. :eek:BSC #215/No.1 Jan 09 Club0

I know just what you mean - when I was married, and a horse owner, and my daughter lived at home, the washing was an absolute nightmare.
The drying was even worse, the radiators worked overtime...... lol

Hi everyone,
Me again.... sorry if it is getting a bit boring but my fellow club members seem to be busy with other stuff...... anyone would think there is something important going on this week.....
Well, taken every last penny of my salary out of my old bank account before they can get to it to pay my loan or overdraft and changed my bank details at work so that future salary gets paid into the co-op.
Put the £495 for my BR into a sealed envelope and put it away for safe keeping.
I have set up d/d's with BT, Water, and Electric - all due out after BR.
TV Licence however want the first payment on 8th Jan - 4 days before BR so I will have to use the account after all.
I still can't quite believe that 3 weeks today is BR day. :T

Ring your county court and find out if they operate a walk in service or an appointment service.Namaste DeeDee x0

Hi,
Every court has their own arrangements for processing BRs. If you follow this www.hmcourts-service.gov.uk/HMCSCourtFinder you will see which is your local court. Ring and they will let you know if it is an appt or drop in service.
My local court processes 2 BRs a day - both are booked in for a 10am appt. Once the papers have been checked and sworn in they are put in the judges office and he/she looks at them between cases - so it could be anything from minutes to hours depending on the other stuff going on. The lady who booked my appt was very sweet and said that a Monday was always best because it is "lots of little stuff" - I just hope they view my BR the same way! :rotfl:

Hi everyone, had a pretty bad day at work I suppose. Bad in that it was so so busy, had a queue to the door from about half ten until 1pm when I left. I was supposed to have a buffet which my lovely manager had laid on for the staff before I left but I just could not face it. I had to get out. So I am feeling really bad now that he made an effort to arrange it but I didn't go. All the other staff did go but I really did not feel upto it. Have gotten home and had to do loads of stuff in the house which didn't help so I ended up having a bit of a cry! Feel better now though as had a cup of tea and come on here to catch up with you all and see how you are.
On a positive note, I did go into the Coop bank today. I paid in £10 and set up a standing order and also set up my internet banking in the branch. All very easy and not complicated at all! :T Got home and tried out my internet banking, so simple to use which is great. Need a bit of simplicity in my life just now.BSC #215/No.1 Jan 09 Club0 -

Hi Donna,
It's good isn't it! I rang up the co-op when I got my first bits and bobs and asked why there was no paying book or a few other bits that seemed to be missing and the guy explained that so many of these accounts are opened and then never used (!) that they hold back on some items until people ring and ask.
Makes sense I suppose.
I am glad that you are using your account too before BR - I didn't really want to in case the OR froze it but I suppose what will be, will be!
Sorry about your day at work. Try not to feel so bad, you sound like I am at the moment - a bit more sensitive than usual. Big hug .....
Off home now, going to have another look at the online forms... a look is all it might be as well
Catch you later

Thanks SA, I am bit sensitive just now unfortunately. I think if I had stayed at work, I would have ended up having a cry there instead of home.
If the Coop or the OR freeze the account then it won't matter so much really. Will just have to open another up.
Why will it only be a look at the forms? Is something wrong? Or are you going to do the paper version?

Hi,
Just got home and logged on....
Agreed about the co-op account but it would be a real pain in the a**e to have to shuffle it all around again - and I have given my bank details into work for my pay. Oh well...
The forms? It is a bit like when I was at school and had to do a project or an essay. Putting pen to paper for the first time was always the hardest bit, after I had finally got down to it I couldn't stop writing!
I think also that when I actually start filling them in I will keep going back and "fiddling" with them, if you know what I mean, so I might just be "looking" at the moment... waiting for inspiration!!
