  • Hi Donna,

Speaking of the benefits system, I can see why people say that you are better off being on the dole than earning a lower wage. With prescriptions and dentists free, concessions on all sorts, and housing and council tax benefit, it really seems to pay not to work. I just don't get it. My basic salary is £14k and I can't live on it - truth! But I am not eligible for any help.

This is my third punto and I have had it for over 3 years. I love them. In the past when I was "rich" I have had fancy new cars and yet I love my little punto. It is so economical, reliable (touch wood) and goes like a bomb! That means fast, not explodes....... :rotfl:

Well, I have put the "Provi" note through the door....... Jeepers, why am I so scared. Another slight worry is that there are two women in my office that work part time who are also "Provi" collectors.... I hope my one doesn't say anything..... oh well, can't stop gossip, I suppose

Exactly 2 weeks today until the big BR ...... Can't come soon enough now.

Yes it does not encourage you to work really!

My little punto was really fast too! but then we traded it in for a people carrier when baby came along. It wasn't worth that much unfortunately as someone tipped a tin of gloss paint over it from front to back (due to where we used to live and we have now moved away from there thank goodness). we got the paint off mostly but it was white gloss on a blue car.

Hope that it goes well for you with the Provi woman and she should not discuss it with any other provi collectors as she would be breaking the data protection act and you could complain about her!

I know, I can't wait for the day to be over either. It will come, wait til the new year starts and it will be here before you know it.

Hi SA, let us know what the Provi woman says.

  • Hi SA, let us know what the Provi woman says.

    Will do....

I have got home and there is nothing ..... no texts, messages, nada!

    Perhaps tomorrow?

The strangest thing has happened tonight, my pin number has arrived from the co-op. Anyone who has got one will know that you peel it off and read the top label for the pin number. Well, mine reads the same both ways - it is all 6's, 8,s and 0's and I don't know which is the right way up!

I shall have to go to an ATM tomorrow and have a play - knowing my luck it will keep the card! What a daft thing to happen...

Hi if you look at the front of the letter and put it on a white background and read from left to right, it will be the correct pin. I know as I have just had another look at mine.

Glad that you haven't heard from the provi woman, hopefully she will be more sympathetic and helpful than you think.

    Hi Donna,

Yep I have got that - but what I mean is that it reads as a proper number both ways up because it is zeros, eights and sixes (nines).

So you'll either get it right on the first or second attempt. Good news that it arrived that means your account is open and thats one thing you can mark off your list.
