please please please help me
i was issued a uk parking control fine in september 2012 and was charged £150 and had the obvious letter pay now for better rate but the thing is i was displaying a valid disabled badge and my brother who own the badge was with me whilst we went to get him new trainers at a local shopping centre. although i was not parked in a parking bay as there was none available at all i parked where it was to me the most suitable place for him to endure the walking from the car and back and we where back at the car within 30 minutes with a parking fine.
i issued ukpc photos of the disabled badge that was clearly on show and they refused to accept them, i then went onto your moneysavingexpert.com site and saw that many other people had similiar problems.
2 years later i have now received a small claims solicitors letter telling me that if i do not pay this fine of £150 within two weeks i will be going to court and will be charge with all legal costs etc
i am thinking of paying this fine as my disabled brother passed away in 2013 and i have no witness as to why i parked where i parked and it will be there word against mine and i do not know what to do
do i need a solicitor ?
please advice me on this if you can or send me details of someone who can
thank you0 -
This will be split from here
Don't panic over this, UKPC will not be issuing a claim for a parking charge, they are idle threats, please read this thread below, it explains everything you need to know

We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

So do that. If that's too complicated (well it's not, but...) just click on the 'Forum Jump' button and click Go (bottom right of this page). Do that NOW and read the top thread.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I have been ticketed by this crowd too, whilst on holiday in London.
I have appealed and told them I was the driver. I know everyone says just ignore everything, but my reason was that I was in a Hertz hire car. Am I right in thinking that they will now have to pursue me? (so I can ignore them) or can they go straight to Hertz who will doubtless pay them and charge me extra for doing so?0 -
