The DYL apply 24/7, and extend to the property boundarys (including pavements and verges) on each side of the road.
Were you parked on the right here:

Since they apply 24/7, DYL's do not need timeplatesgoldrush1984 wrote: »Hi

You could make an informal appeal on the basis there was no room in the doctors car park and it was a medical emergency (or does 'rushing' merely mean you were late:o)

Lack of no parking signs makes no difference because DYLs don't need any signs.
But there's hope yet, don't rush to pay it too soon!
Can you show us a pic of the back of the PCN, all the small print (really important as it could be flawed and make the PCN a nullity). Hope so for your sake as I can't see another avenue of appeal for you.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hi here is the reverse of the parking fine, i should have put it on sooner sorry.
I was in a hurry because the kids were ill and slightly irrititating, to make it worse the fine was issued 9 minutes before my appointment was due, and I was very late out, annoying!!
Thanks for allyour help I really do appreciate it!:)

Not sure but is the "challenge within 14 days" an error?I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

I think it may be, the word 'witihin' misleads as to the time in which to make informal reps.
Also I think maybe some of the 3 (2) (b) gen regs wording is missing from the back, I don't see the bit about 'if you make reps before the NTO we will consider them...' This is a favourite of Bogsy and J Edgar on pepipoo.com forums and if anyone can get you off this PCN then pepipoo can:

Read the FAQs and stickies, forum rules & image posting advice first, then start a new thread including the pics. See what the experts say.
Good luck.

Maybe the PPC trolls should quit and find a job that they'd be better at, like noose-testing.0

Do not pay [BTW it's not a fine, it's an invoice]
Wrt 'costs' there is no way you will be laible for any of their solicitor costs since the case would go through the small claims track; so the most you would be liable for is the 'filing cost' [typically £30].
This all assumes that they would actually bother going to court at all, which is unlikely.
It's probably not a 'proper' solicitor, but their own in house 'legal sounding' department [do a google on the name and the addy will probably be same as the aprking co....]
I very stupidly paid a parking fine of £120.00 to a private company, because i did not know it was illegal. I have since written to them to claim back my money. I have also told them that i will take them to a small claims court if the money is not repaid. Where do you think i stand with this. Would i be able to take them to court, even though i have paid.0 -
Its not illegal for them to charge this amount, they can ask whatever they like, its just not enforceable under any legal framework. Unfortunately its most unlikely you will get the money back although I think there was a recent case where a lawyer did.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0
