warm ~hugs ~ and thoughts for all who need it, for the poorly, for the ones who are having family probs and not forgetting the ones who just need a hug>

*hugs* for you and your family Mudgekin, we're here to listen when you feel up to it
    *hugs* for Taplady also

Also just general *huggles* to all who want/need them

Well OS today is going to be making a HUGE batch of Twinks to dip in choclate tomorrow for OHs parents, my parents and some good friends. That'll prolly be about it! Meeting a friend for coffee in a bit as he says he could do with some moral support, hope nothing too horrible has happened.

Also going to spend the evening with my OH with a nice meal (chillie (sp?) I think with rice) and a bottle of wine, should be lovely.

Take care all and keep warm
  • Hi all, not sure if I have visited here before!:p

I am planning a good clean through today, and try and get as much washing done as I can hang. And complete the menu movement for the next few days. I want to be able to make something to take to my sisters on Sunday, when I start my Xmas hols!

....Do you think chorizo would be OK in a quiche? Have pastry in freezer and lots of eggs need using up, onions and peppers areound, also remainder of the cream that I have bought for making some truffles for Xmas. Seems like a good solution.....

I think that would be good. I think I would probably fry it a bit with some onions and the peppers before you put it all together. It would be a bit like a spanish ommlette in a pastry case.

Happy 'OS'ing all, I am loving it.

    Hello everybody,

Well I'm just posting before I hit the sack. It's been a long, hot exhausting day. DS2 has just gotten off the phone after a good chat.. I was in the shower when the call came in. Asked for Mum.:D Bless (he's 24) DH home today. I helped him fit the shower downstairs this morning and after lunch DGS & I took our treats to the old folks home. He was a star. :xmassmile We left just after 3pm. Bus was late and had to stand in the scorching sun waiting for it. No bus shelter. I'm now sunburnt. :D DGS had a hat but I didn't bother.

Mudgekin I'm so sorry to hear your bad news. <hugs>
Beth What a thoughtful sister you are. I think we're related btw :D Poor DH.
    purpleivy :T Every bit helps.

Hope you all have a great day and <hugs> to those poorly. Byeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Just popped back in to say I'll be thinking of you tomorrow, Taplady. (((Hugs))) to you and dear Lesley's family.

Dealwithdebtdot - I don't recognise your name but you're more than welcome! We're a lovely bunch!

Aussie - you really are showing off, sunburn indeed! We don't even get that in the summer these days!

    Morning all.

(flippin' 'eck, MORNING?? I'm early today).

Mudgekin Big ((((HUG)))) for you and your DH. So sorry to hear your news.

Taplady Hope all goes well tomorrow. I know what you meant about the phone. When we lost a dear friend last year, it took Mr LW and me months to bring ourselves to delete his number from our mobiles. It almost felt like betrayal.

Well, the most important task today is hand-washing a top in cold water. It has to be thus, otherwise it runs better than Linford Christie! Why, oh why do the clothes I like always need to be hand-washed in cold water?

Mr LW has chopped up some root veggies for me, so it's veggie stew for dins tonight. Followed by the last of the apple pie.:p

  • Mudgekin - I am so sorry to hear your bad news. Please come here as often as you like, because you will need all the support you can get and the people on here are absolutely wonderful.

Jackie - if you put oilcloth into ebay's search then you get a few matches. None of it is what I would call inexpensive, but you should be able to get some lengths. I found this 260329935208 and this 380089998790
