Beth - you are so kind to your family. I hope you get all your to-do list finished and take time out for yourself. I think we're all racing around now trying to make sure that we get everything and everybody organised, but also trying to make sure we can all ignore the chores for a couple of days over Christmas.

For all of you with the 'flu - man or otherwise - I really hope you are better by the time Christmas is finally here.

I've just been outside to my cold store to get the veggies for the stew tonight, and I can't believe how mild it is out there. What a lovely change from those freezing temperatures and, hopefully, less going out on the heating bills. I've got towels in the wash so I hope I can hang them on the line today.

DH has just left for work so I'm going to get the rest of the chores done and try and pop out early to the shops.

    Have a good day, everyone.

Frosty the snowman was a jolly happy soul,
With a corncob pipe and a button nose,
And two eyes made out of coal.
Frosty the snowman is a fairy tale, they say,
He was made of snow but the children
know how he came to life one day.

In my calendar – an angel :santa2: At least I think it was an angel – it broke into a million pieces as I took it out :D

Mioliere, that's great news about LO woohoo-smiley.gif

I didn’t have enough time to make bread yesterday so I’ll do it today. We’ve just run out of cake – it’s NEEDED, according to master tru, lol – so it looks like the oven will be busy this morning.

FIL has been extremely lazy for the last few weeks, he’s had problems with his leg but that’s his latest excuse for doing nothing, and I mean NOTHING  I said to him yesterday ‘I won’t put any washing on, there’s not enough for a whole load’. He said ‘Oh I know, that’s because I did 2 loads the other day’. I had no answer for that except for this faint.gif

I’ve given myself the afternoon off so I’ll find a Christmas film to watch while I make more lists :D , then tonight we’re off out to a carol concert.

    Hi all

I haven't posted much pver the past couple of days. We were hit with a life altering and incurable disease for DH on Tuesday afternoon. Atm I just can't get my head around it and can't even type the words. I gtuess when the fits of weeping stop I will be heading right back here for hugs and support.

warm ~hugs ~ and thoughts for all who need it, for the poorly, for the ones who are having family probs and not forgetting the ones who just need a hug>
  • Morning Guys!

WM is on, beds stripped and DW has been emptied. Have the cleaners in this morning, so everything else will be taken care of. I have a hospital visit, so wont be back till later.

All Xmas stuff done/wrapped and have a shop booked in for delivery on Xmas Eve, so was lucky with that. We are away a few days after, so will take food with us thats in the fridge and cupboards.

    Hope everyone is ok.

    PP
    xx

    Morning all!

Mudgekin (((hugs))) to you and your DH we'll be here if you need us xxxx

Beth - fingers crossed for your DB2 x

(((hugs))) to all the poorly ones(she says as she coughs away!:D ) and those feeling low x

back to work again today - got tomorrow off for Lesley's funeral. Had a strange moment last night - when I got in I went to check the phone in case Les had rung:( felt very strange and sad to know that she wont ever be ringing me again for a chat.

OS plans - not got many really due to working 11 hours today. Had a bit of good news yesterday - had the gas bill and we are over £50 in credit:j so we needn't worry about freezing just yet.

Hope you all have a lovely day

    take care x
