I was t glasgow fort about 11am this morning and they had the offer on- not much left even at that time. So Im not sure why linwood havent go it on.Maybe the gifts are selling well there and the manager is hoping to make extra profit.
Does anyone else know if any of the glasgowish branches have it on as I was hoping to get one of the candle gift sets for my friend and a woman cleared the shelves of them this morning .

I went to my local Asda at about 2pm and the whole aisle was empty :eek:

Does anyone know if they are going to be reducing the cosmetic sets at all?

I went to my local ASDA at 9am and got loads of bargains! It did start at 7.30 but couldn't pry myself out of my warm bed that early, dropped the kids of at school and went to look. It was perfect timing as the aisle was full of customers and loads of staff buying products too. At this moment 2 members of staff brought big trolls full of new stock to replace it with, all the £1 ans £2 items. Whilst the rest of the bunch were grabbing stock off of the shelves, I went and asked the woman with the new stock if I could please have some, she asked which ones I wanted and I helped myself to all the items I wanted. She was happy because it saved her a job and she said if only everyone could do this. After I had got what I wanted I suggested an auction style where she could hold up the products shouting this is a £1 anyone want it, she thought this was great, and I left them too all jump on them :eek:.:rotfl:

I got loads of good, hannah montana, high school musical and disney products for all my nieces for there birthdays. I also got some great breakfasts sets for my nana's, and some great football items for my boys. There was a large selection, it was basically everything on the 2 for £8 and 2 for £16 apart from the boozel.

Am sooooo happy:j:j:j

We went to Kendal this morning and there was loads of stuff and three staff putting more stuff out. We didn`t need much but got a load of gifts for a do we have to go to tomorrow.
Pot of jam with jar and spoon, penknife, scented candles, three disney princess photo frames, tin with mug etc - all a £1.

By the time I got there at 11ish at The Forge one in Glasgow there wasn't alot left the shelves were pretty bare with a manager telling everyone there was no more stock through the back. He was surrounded by customers!!!!I did get a few stocking fillers LED alarm clock that alerts you when your phone is going to ring, magic trick box and Bratz notebook with pen. No Hannah Montana stuff just Disney Princess which my 11 year old grew out of along time ago!!!

Ach well...... happy with what I got.Will have to be quicker next time!!

staff are entitled like everyone else to bargains but im not happy as
staff were taking the stuff and putting it thruogh the back as some items today which are full price are going down to 80 % tomorrow - just spoke to manager of store she is going to speak to staff as they are not allowed to put items behind. i mean there was at least 10 employees grabbing about 15 items which were marked as full price and scanning at full price - intially i thought it must be cause they have not updated the ticket but afters spekaing to manager they are going down tomorrow and staff know and have kept the stuff aside

I don't work for Asda but i don't blame staff for getting some perks.

Just wanted to post my thanks. I went early, thanks to the advice on here,
to the Glasgow Forge about 0930 and they were flying off the shelves, the staff could not get them out fast enough. Got some great stocking fillers the Bratz clock and watch for £2 was a bargain and I would have been none the wiser if I did not read it on here last night

What kind of stuff were they putting aside,wanna know what they are reducing tomorrow!!
