Thanks OP!
I have to get up early anyway, I went in and I was the first customer there as they were reducing. After 10 minutes loads of the Asda staff came along as they were not aware of the bargains but when one told another, loads would come. It was quite funny as they bought 3 of the same items or more as they were getting for others. They cleared out alot of the items so I was glad to be there with them. It was another 20mins before another customer came along. I gave up asking in the end as I felt sorry for the lady checking with her scanner. I just picked it up and went to the till. Only 3 of the items had not been reduced at that point (bath/spa gift sets) £58 of items for presents now and next year.0 -
Oh Lordy - I didn't know this was happening, but I HAVE to do a 'mad dash' to ASDA after work to get some food - was in hospital last week so off my routine and we've run out of loads of stuff...really hope that it is not too manic in there as I have only got an hour to get it done and get home.....thanks for the heads-up OP...fore-warned is fore-armed as my Gran would have said! The best advice you can give your children: "Take responsibility for your own actions...and always Read the Small Print!"

i picked up a few bits this morning, corby store the isle where the christmas gifts are was manic, i picked up quite a few bargains, i got some of the fairy bed warmer things, good stocking fillers and they are quite pretty, and a doctor who bowl and mug, whilst i was walking around even some of the staff was asking me where i got them from and went off to get some for themselves. i also got grandad a simpson golf handwarmer and flashing golf ball, some disney princess bits and pieces and bratz stationary set. thanks to the op. would now think there wont be much left as all the decent things were flying off quicker than what they could put out.

Massive thanks to Claire for her original post, got loads of bargains this morning! Went straight from the school run to the Asda supercentre in West Bridgford. Staff were getting out more cages of stock as we arrived, managed to get some nice candle sets and frames for friends/cousins etc, also a nice shoe themed tin with a mug, keyring and magnet in. Also picked up a couple of the keepsake boxes which seem very sweet, spotted a winnie the pooh one with no barcode and managed to also get that at the reduced price so very pleased. Staff were getting in there too, but i say fair play to them!
Hope everyone else has managed to get some bargains!

Thanks OP. I got up at 6 to go to Asda today (needed to do a shop anyway). I was planning on leaving OH to sort the girls but DD heard me get up so she came with me. Filled a trolley with £1 & £2 items for birthday presents through they year. Paid & then returned to the store to fill another trolley with all my basic's as the cupboards were almost empty.
Thanks again OP0 -

Yes, restriction of 6 items per customer at Blackpool store. A Mrs Jobsworth stopped me buying about 10 items and made me put some back! She then started on the couple behind me so I grabbed an extra basket and suggested they put 6 in there and go to separate tills.Strange though to limit it so much, I mean it's ok as stocking fillers and prezzies for kids' friends but it's obviously stock that they couldn't shift at the full price! You'd think they'd want rid of it unless it's the staff trying to preserve some stock for their fellow colleagues.
