I went to the Asda Barnsley store (24hr) around 8am and it was chaos around the gifts aisle though there wasn't a wide range of things, mainly HSM boxes, Bratz stationary, football shower radios, few candle sets. Not great, if I had time I'd pop to a larger store but have to work! :D
    The £2.00 Coin Savers Club = approx £22.00  :j.. The 20p Savers Club = £17.80.

Thanks to claire for the heads up on this!
Just had to pop down to my local asda, some not all gifts were reduced and could of gone mad if I had to buy for young girls as loads of hsm & hannah montana! But picked up some really good young boys gifts which has really helped me. for £1 & £2! Bargain.
    So thanks again x

With many thanks to claire for posting, at £4 per item - 2 for £8 price and a couple of items that would have been £8 each - 2 for £16 I had £104 of items for £23. I'll use some for Christmas presents and some for Birthdays or Easter or whatever, I'll even keep some for next Christmas. I never really go to Asda as it's a bit away, the staff were really cheery and not a tracksuit wearing person in sight, not that I care they could of been in their birthday suits for all I'm worried. They were bringing big trolleys down and just kept loading the shelves, no alcohol or beauty gift sets reduced as others have said but plenty of nice bits for stocking fillers or extra presents.
I suppose it depends what you're looking for, I figure I coud have bought the bits yesterday and paid £104 but got them today at £23 and that's got to be a bargain in anyone's book.
  • I went at 7.30am and it was very, very busy (boldon, tyne and wear).

Thank you very much to claire and to everyone else who posted.

Unless you have young children or girls into Bratz and High school muciscal - don't bother.
I tried about 20 to 25 differnt items - but ALL came up at full price.
There was a cage 3/4 full of stuff to put out - but staff didn't seem at all bothered about actually putting any of it on the shelves.
No announcements or big signs, but lots of people milling around - all MSErs or was it advertised in one of the papers:confused:

Agree with some of earlier comments, no way would I have paid more than £1 for some of the stuff - in fact a breakfast set marked as £1 ( though probably would have scanned at full price:cool: ) I put back, because I didn't think it was even worth £1

Think Asda have done a good job in clearing all the rubbish off their shelves asap, because it clearly was never going to sell. I wouldn't be surprised if they still have some of this rubbish left even if they gave it away.
Probably see lots of these sets on the Car Boot stall next year:rolleyes:

What kind of Bratz, HSM and Hannah Montana stuff was reduced today? I need to make a special trip to Asda - don't know if its worth it really.

There were HSM jewellery boxes, a HSM shield shape box?, Bratz clock gift set and not a great deal else, I went hoping to get some HSM things but choice was very poor in my local store.

I can order some of the gifts online @ £1.00, prices have been changed and are in stock but again, not much choice.
