Oh my, whats going on?? I thought this was a thread about what asda bargains everyone managed to get,not a school playground! If people want to behave in such a manner then do so in your own space not on a public thread. Remember if you have nothing nice to say .............................0

The local ASDA in Duffryn is a chav magnet sorry to say. I shop there at all hours and there will always be a good selection of trackie and hoop earing adorned mums trailing large numbers of kids. They have parking bays for pitbulls and staffies as well as specialy reserved areas where blinged up Vauxhall Novas can do powerslides whilst listening to the latest music from the 'hood blaring forth from their Goodmans 6000W PMPO car radios (driven by spotty youths in shellsuits and hoodies.) Not being racist just stating a sad fact. However, said ASDA is one of the best for bargains in the Cardiff Newport area. Sadly this monring this wasnt the case. However an hour later at around 7am I went to Cardiff Gate ASDA and the bargains were being cleared up by ASDA staff...... not that I blame them as store pay is horribly low! I picked up £25 worth of goods and headed off to Capital Retail park - the new ASDA in Cardiff - to pick up another tenners worth of stuff. got home with a healthy £120 worth of goods for £35!
Many thanks to the OP for her posting!0 -
thanks op.....my hubby went to cribbs causeway in bristol last night and got 12 things from the £1 stuff they had none of the 2 for £16 stuff @ £2.
but hes just come in from work now having popped in on his way home and they had bratz clock and watch set, photo frame and album set, candle set,dvd race night......he said they werent marked up at £2 but he took a chance and took them to the till and they all scanned at £2.0 -
How very sad that some people have to try and put others down in order to make themselves feel superior. What a shame you are filled with so much hate at Christmas. I hope you don't pass on any of this bad attitude to your children, you know, and ruin thier well rounded potential.
I told my mum about the possibility of an Asda sale, she said she would head up there but didn't tell me of any bargains. Maybe they had all gone, maybe they hadn't been reduced. Either way, i'll check today. Christmas decorations are my weakness.0 -
A bargain is only a bargain if you need it!!!
Thrill of the chase (back to cave days) to get something lowered in price!
What is the point in name calling - life is too short!!!!0 -
I have been away from MSE for a while and I am also disappointed by the tone of some of the comments - not just in this thread but in quite a few different threads.
MSE is all about saving money - anyone who does not come to this forum (and this thread in particular) to save money is in the wrong place. I don't think members should be judging others for trying to save money (or any other reason) and I do wish that they would keep their rants to themselves. Times are tough for many and if they can save a little and have a better festive season then all to the good.
There will always be some people who buy what others consider to be 'more than their fair share' but again that is how life is.
Thanks to the OP for the heads up on this and lets hope we can all get along and enjoy being money savers.
Merry Christmas to One and All !!!!!Your really can not beat a good bargain !!!0 -
I went to Asda last night (I am not a chav, i dont do bling, have a staffy or drive a chavvy car) on the back of what was said on here about the gift sets being on offer. Always like to have a couple of things on standby in case I have forgotten someone!
Anyway, went in, was wandering around when an announcement came over the tannoy. 'Perfume is on offer, blah blah, £10, blah blah and we have for the DS, Professor Layton in stock now' (Burton on Trent, around 3pm yesterday, I doubt if they have any in stock, but you can always check?)
So for all the people who say that Asda is for chavvy losers etc. I hope you have got the DS game that everyone is after, because I do now!!
Just shows what being a snob does for you eh!!!
By the way, none of the gift sets were on offer, so all I bought was the game!!
Happy Christmas to everyone xxMarried the absolute love of my life on Sunday May 6th and I couldnt be happier!!!0 -
thanks op... i managed to get a few bits and pieces, really pleased as wanted the spotty shower cap and got 2 for me and my mam
extra pleased as in there on wed night my daughter spotted a bratz stationary set for £10 and when i went in yesterday it was only £2
but i was dissapointed with the pushing and blocking of the aisle, it was hideous and you couldn't see anything because people were leaving their trolleys right along the shelfs and fighting for the bargains over them!!
the staff looked really harrased too bless them - felt a bit embarressed for actually trying to get a bargain amongst these mad people0
