Good morning!
Got sent an Am@z0n code today from one of the surveys and invested it in two cookbooks (101 one-pot dishes and 101 simple meals for two) which cost me only £1 and delivery was free too. Finally also got enough points for a voucher from T0lun@, took 5 months for £10, well, better than nothing
.
Good luck SFT.
P.S. Cheeky me, I upped my challenge budget to 5K, as it's quite obvious I won't make 4K but 5K is a more realistic target.DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -

Good afternoon, just keeping up to date. I got my newsletter from Appr0ved F00d and decided to go have a look, as is intended by these newsletters, and I'm glad I did. The have catering pack sizes of stuff, like tins of chicken pie filling for 50p and jars of curry sauce at over 2kg weight! I've stockpiled a bit on pie filling but didn't spend too much, staying within the first delivery charge, but for England & Wales, there's a new cheaper delivery rate for heavy orders.
Frugal Chicks have stopped hatching now, we got 7 in total, so 50% success after the power cut isn't as bad as I had anticipated. There are 2 lavender, 1 black, 1 striped and 3 white chicks. I'll try to get a photo of them all together now they're all dried out and fluffy.I reserve the right not to spend.
The less I spend, the more I can afford.

Just placed my first order with AF too....
I think the dried chicken pie filling is what my parents used to make a creamy chicken sauce (served chicken supreme style on Brownie Pack Holidays) may years ago - always loved it, so have a couple of bags coming.
Plus I got some OJ - now well through the ones I got from C0stco, which have already been supplemented with other flavours from HB/QS. Also got loads of the 'flavoured fruit' pots and raisin cartons, as I really need to increase my f&v intake (and younger GD loves the latter). And loads of chewy/snack bars, as between me, younger DS and both GDs I can get through a shed-load of these  (They regularly get stocked up on when in the local Whoopsies). Also a couple of satay kits, as I know younger DS enjoys them - so it'll add some variety to the menu plan. Also had to add some of the Cupcakes as everyone seems to rant about those - but I've never tried them myself
I also added in some 'fruit flavoured chews' and marzipan eggsCheryl0 -
You tempted me too. I've just ordered some more stuff from AF. I think though i am going to hide some of it somewhere as DH was more than a bit piggy last time taking 2 cakes in his pack up a day. I've no idea where i'll put it all mind you.
Those satay kits are really tasty. There was more than 4 servings in my opinion of the sauces. I used pepper and courgette to make up the skewers, and we had it with rice the 1st night, then in a baguette the 2nd day. the skewers heated up ok in the microwave.
I'm just plodding along here. Haven't spent anything on Tuesday or Wednesday, and wouldn't have today if it weren't for AF:rolleyes:
Our biggest excitement is the sprouting seeds i planted last week. The courgettes and lettuces are doing really well. The tomatoes were just starting this morning. The leeks and peppers have done nothing yet, but hopefully will.
I also had child tax credit forms through this morning, and i think they have underpaid me over the past year as they had me down as working when i've been on maternity pay, so i need to try and track down some wage slips work haven't sent me, then get it sorted.
One more child free day tomorrow, then back to work on Monday, so i will need to be uber-organised so i don't stuff up my budget. I already have evening meals for 2 of my 3 days i'm working in the freezer, so i'm slowly getting there.
nyk congrats on the chicks. I'll have to wander to your site for a looksie.
sft best of luck with the viewing and wedding:beer:
