:j We had a sample sale at work, where they have sold off all the bits they don't need... I've only spent £10 but am now sorted for Christmas and Birthday cards for the next year, plus have various other prezzie items and even a book that says on the front 'proof copy not for resale'....
There was quite a queue before the sale opened, then everyone developed many elbows to try and get to the best stuff first :rotfl: Next time I will be more organised and work out which relatives NEED presents, instead of just buying stuff at random. I'm sure I'll work out what to do with it all at some point...

Afternoon everyone!
Well, I've been shopping today and spent quite a bit - I managed to spend £27.06 on Boots    BUT I did have a £10 voucher, and some other points vouchers so I spent £17.06 in the end, and got 436 points so I don't think its too bad, and I definitely won't need to go there again for a while! :rotfl: When it was all mounting up though, I had a minor panic at what the end total might be, but never mind. I've stocked up on some essentials and suchlike.
The boy is coming over tonight and we're going out for a meal to a very nice restaurant in town - he's paying- so I'm all excited!
I'm going to jump in the shower in a bit and then straighten my hair, and then decide what to wear! haha I'm not really a girly- girl but on occasions like this, I can be!
Sending big (((HUGS))) to those who want/need one.
sf xx

xxI found it easiest to have leftovers from the previous nights dinner to ping in a couple of minutes. Fruit is easy to grab. chocolate is too;).
Just had a thought. Are you feeding her from both sides each time? I was struggling with DS2 until MIL said they were advised to feed for at least 15 minutes each side. It worked well for me.
It will get easier for you as she gets bigger and your body gets used to it. Plus, you are saving money. I think my formula milk is about £7.80 a tin. Thank god he is almost 1 and on the cows milk, although thatn't really much cheaper.
I'm home holding the baby again today. He was sent home from nursery yesterday, and was in bed with me all night very restless, currently asleep on my shoulder and won't let me put him down. DH has had to go in to work this morning, but he can watch the kids for a bit this afternoon since he spent the night on the sofa bed in DS's bedroom and got more sleep than me. I'm too tired to do much today i think, although i picked up some bruised bananas yesterday, so need to make a cake with ds1 today0 -
Have a long and happy wedded life, mrs sft!
I'm happy today as I've been complimented, in a roundabout fashion. DS occasionally used to moan about us not being able to afford things. Then recently, he told me that his 'parents are tight'.
Woah! What a step up...he now realises we choose not to fritter.
Hope you are all buzzing with energy. I haven't read the posts lately but am still doing my best. Looks like my £2K+ tax credit overpymnt may now be down to £300 and that is still being reviewed. However, they have sent me an amended award notice, not actually written a letter to explain what's going on. So this could be an overpaymnt that I didn't know about!
Edited to say that £300 does appear to be an overpymnt that I didn't know about as in today's post I got a letter stating that I do owe the full amount from the previous years. I find the whole business so frustrating. What is the point? Goodness knows what I am going to do next.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0
