savingfortravel wrote: »Also I'm planning on going on Orange Wednesday tomorrow..could I just check that you text 241 to Orange in morning and then they text you a code which you show to sales assistant at Cinema. Don't want to get it wrong as going with a friend and would feel silly if I got it wrong. Thanks SFT
Also does anyone know if we pay Council Tax this month if we pay by DD. Have paid last 10 months but have a feeling you don't pay Feb and March Thanks
Hi sft
I pay council tax by monthly dd, could choose to pay over 8 or 10 months, I chose 10 and don't pay in Feb or March, so you're probably right.
Orange Wednesday - you have to text the word film to 241, then you get a text back with a unique code that you can use for any film that day.

Wedding plan sound lovely SFT, and very frugal :T I have to admit that if I do ever get asked, I probably won't be as MS as you
I'm not sure if there's a need to panic about it - is the venue booked? I'm sure you'll have a wonderful day, that's what it's really about x
Was going to answer about Or@nge241 but already been answered. And CT is usually paid over 10 months, making Feb and March 'free'.
Great idea for drying clothes on hangers Loobyloo, so simple and yet I hadn't thought of it :T Gee, I love this thread
I have every confidence you will get an allotment SM
Have a lovely evening all - I am not planning now as my lesson has been cancelled so will chill out. Doing some more research about my illness and possible avenues; would like to work on my numbers but need to leave that til brain functioning tomorrow. The 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000

Just wandered down to our local S/flds, and was chatting with some of the staff....
Confirmed it's to become a Mr M (DD didn't see a notice, she heard it from a colleague whose Mum is friends with a member of staff in the store). They said 'about 8 weeks, give or take' but the bit that may be of interest to others is....
They're expecting it to be like W00lworths got, as they have to sell off ALL STOCK before the takeover. So I'm going to be trying to live out of cupboards and freezers for the rest of this month, as that's the only way I'll have space to make the most of any really good offers that come up :rolleyes2
So hopefully my grocery budget will be well under by the end of Feb -- but it's likely to get a hammering in MarchCheryl0 -
Had a quiet day today, ie DD hasn't been round:rotfl: :rotfl: Have been to the docs for another sick note, and got a few bits from the chemists, and collected the books I ordered at the library. Also got bread, so have spent £8.70 today:D
Congrats to LYNDA on your engagement hun:D"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

SFT - your wedding plans sound lovely. Don't start panicking - you have everything you want and that is all that matters. A monsoon dress and surrounded by people who love you sounds great to me. I love the idea of your mum walking you in too.
I pay c tax over 10 months by DD so feb & march are 'free'.
Looby -thanks ever so much for the rail idea:T . I knew it would be worth posting this query. Annoyingly, in a fit of de cluttering a few years ago I got rid of a clothes rail which would have done the job but I'll keep an eye open on freecycle. (Don't have a curtain rail above the radiator, it's on an internal wall). We have 4 adults in the house so the radiator space is already always in use by lodgers. In summer of course, there is no heat on.I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -
I'm sorry but I've decided that I'm going to have to withdraw...I just cant keep up with posts and feel I'm fighting a loosing battle...will still continue to live as frugally as I can but am sorry but cant keep up and its getting to the point where I see four new pages and my heart sinks and I dont want to ignore what people have said/shared as I know its very hurtful and just feel that its best for me to bow out gracefully and wish you all best of luck with the challenge! Hiya i work at s.fields. We've been told ours is changing to a co-op but it might take up to a year. We've been told that we will be phasing out stock rather than having a massive sale. Just dont want you to get your hopes up. Hopefully tho you'll get your bargains, the annoyning thing for me is i work there, know when stock is being reduced yet i still never get any bargains
Had my first nsd of the month today, hoping for another one tomoro too. Hoping to come in well under budget gc wise this month. OH is happy for us to try meal planning again (after our little chat;)) and so far so good.
