    Quick question

In oct last year i went through quidco to get virgin media ..it all tracked at 65 cashback.. but they rang me few days later sayin i could only get virgin if i paid 100 deposit so i said no. so i did not end up gettin virgin media.
Now just checked my bank and quidco paid 65 into my bank...went to quidco and its from virgin media!! But did not end up gettin there services... so what do i do??? Do i keep it?

Great stuff with your first lesson SF! :T Good luck with the PGCE too - I wish I'd enjoyed mine as much as SFT but as you know had a pretty tough year (split up with fiance in middle of it :(). It's still def worth it though ;)
Thanks! I hope I enjoy it, it just seems a bit daunting at the moment! lol :) x x

Slowly fading: Best of luck with your PGCE application! I remember how exciting/scary it was starting the process! Do you go on the TES forums at all? http://www.tes.co.uk/community.aspx?navcode=14 Lots of excellent advice and support on there for prospective student teachers and all the stages beyond. I found it invaluable (and addictive) reading before starting my PGCE. I also loved my year, though it was an awful lot of hard work and not much sleep. I'm one term into my NQT year at the moment and loving it much more.

Thanks for your response! What do you teach? I've never heard of that site, but I'll have a browse ;)

Just because Nyk is the mother hen and sf one of her frugal chicks;)

The babysitting was easy - both kids were in bed when i arrived! They'd left munchies in the kitchen for me, so I just sat and watched tv for 3 hours :D

Am off to bed now! I'm at work in the morning, so have a good day everyone xx

  • evening all. just been catching up on the post.

SFT- i'm feeling better now, but the same thing happend last night and then when i got up this morning i was ill again.

i have forgot who it was that said about change the font etc, but thanks. when i'm using office i change the back ground colour to a light blue, which really helps.

sorry if i missed anyone but thanks to who ever i did miss.

DS announced when he got home, that college have told that he is dyslexic, told him that there is nothing wrong with been dyslexic, some of the most famous people in the world are. college have been determind to prove that he is, it's the 3rd test they have given him. just need to get DD diagnosed now, i'm sure she is as well because when she spells, i see her spell words like i did as a child.

ended up having to buy milk today, we go through so much i sholud just buy a cow:rotfl:

I like the idea of putting a spare quilt on the bottom of the bed, i'm going to dig one out my junk cupboard (it seems to breed quilts) tomorrow and give it ago, i already have a 14 tog and 4 tog on the top, so i should be a snug a bug in a rug.

It's the times educational supplement. They have nearly all the info you will ever need about teaching, nearly all the jobs in the UK and great forums for support. And using the website is a lot less expensive than buying the paper. They also have very good resources on it.:D

After seeing the programme tonight I might start a penny jar. I sometimes find small denomination coins in my classroom. Would they count?

  • croak, bit of a duvet day for me, accelerated by white wings confession she ate ALL the profiteroles before Janey could get them to me. Such cruelty when I am in such need:D .
Redglass - lol at freecycler: have passed that on to friends who have similar views to ours.
fizzel - you mentioned yesterday about free school dinners and having to over come your pride. Perhaps you could look at the bigger picture: you are doing a great job bringing up 3 boys on your own and one day they are going to be contributing to society because of the great job you're doing. So think of all the taxes they'll be paying when they are adults which will more than cover a little help now getting school lunches. You are also doing a good job getting your finances in order:T .
masomnia - great sig, made me laugh
mollymunchkin - brilliant felt idea:T . NB Bails - perhaps buy the one you want and then practise with the home made version for presies, in your own pace?
Loobyloo - I love my non tartan shopping trolley I bought last year: makes such a difference and although a little embarrassed on its trial run, certainly not now.
2nd time - great thought for the day. - is this purple particularly difficult to read becasue I'll change it if it is?
Just cooked a huge crumble in remoska with apples we were given yesterday. Will freeze about 5 portions from that.

Thank you BrightonBelle for being so considerate; your purple shade is fine, seems similar to brown, in my eyes at least.:D

Catch up with you all tomorrow :)
