    Evening everyone :hello: .

Well, I didn't expect snow this morning, and it threw me a bit as I forgot the children's lunches for school today, although I did get them out of the fridge, ended up having to pay for 2 school dinners @ £1.90 each  and DD didn't even try it as it was pork & pineapple curry.

Anyhoo, I've spent quite a fair bit today, mainly bus fares (£3.50 day saver, 40p to school, £10 for DS1 weekly ticket), work milk @ £1.20 for month, lottery £10, £1 for batteries. But that is all, so quite pleased I didn't spend anything on the bargains around town.

Also....finally got my ISA money back in my Lloyds account (long story - swapped to Icesave, they went bust, cancelled Lloyds ISA cheque in Nov, got it today). They weren't sure where I wanted the money to go, even though I'd told them every time I went into the branch or rang them up. I'm going to withdraw it and put it in my Abbey account, never had problems with them.

Just had leftover lasagne with chips for dinner, poor DS1 had to have left over curry, but he loved it :D

Forgot to add I found a penny in the snow today, so not all doom and gloom :T

Guess what im doing from now on hehe on the lookout for pennies (or more)

think i should head for bed shortly im feeling a bit chilly

When we were in school we used to go on "penny hunts" through the school yard and eventually had enough to buy a copy of Smash Hits!

Though with the price of magazines these days you would need to hunt for months on end to be able to afford one, the shop assistants face was always a picture when we rolled up with our bag of dirty pennies :rotfl:

    Evening All,
I'm back from coffee out. Didn't end up costing me anything as friend paid...the thing is I don't think he can really afford it..but then I think, who am I to say what he can or can't afford? DD1 suggested I give a fiver to his wife when I see her on Sunday...what do you guys think?
I'm sure people think we are poor/ really skint because I've my (non) spending choices...I don't want others to overspend cause they think they are helping me out when I don't need it and I do this from choice....
(I hope that hasn't come across the wrong way....)

Anyway, I'm now drinking the last Speckled Hen left over from Christmas and eating leftovers from the freezer. I didn't get my bubble and squeak stuff done. In fact I feel like I've hardly achieved anything and I think its cause I'm spending too much time on her keeping up to date with posts...

So, I've decided to post in the morning my To Do's and Meals and then actually get on with them! and try not to keep checking back up.
I've got work that I'm going to get paid for to do and like fizzel, I really want to get my debts paid off this year, but I'm spending too much time re-jigging my budget and working out how much extra I need per month and not actually getting on with earning it!
I'm starting from tomorrow morning..I really need to organise my time better. I'm hoping this will help.

FrankieM, why not take him out for coffee another time and you pay to even things out? It saves potential embarrassment that way.

frankie im the same trying to jiggle it all around to find ways to mak ure i can get it all sorted (as the letters keep coming) texted the ex today about it he reckons he asked me for deatils last year, funny that when we was with payplan me thinks the ar se just stopped paying the lot, text it back and well im still waiting, interesting thing is he pays less child manatance as he is supposed to pay all the debts (is etc were happy with his letter stateing this) would be happy on any thoughts on this one as he hasnt paid anything well apart from reduced mantance due to stateing he would cover everything? might be something to chat about with my solictier when we next have contact (were waiting for legal aid to be sorted, as she is suggesting i go for a financial order for something unreleated)

    grr my typos tonight sorry!

fizzel:Is there not someone you can tell...I'm afraid I have no personal experience but my thoughts would be to gather written/ printed proof of what he hasn't paid and then show however is dealing with the financial side of things...sorry if that comepletly unhelpful and niave...

Sarah147 That's what he said..I'm sure he paid last time..I'll just have to make sure I get up to the bar first next time!

I've put my electric blanket on ( gosh, how decadent does that sound!) and I'll soon be off to bed. DH is away so I never sleep very well when he's not here, but I need any early night so I have the energy to get on with tomorrow.

oh, in regards to stationary, notebooks and crossing out...my notebooks are usually long, glorified lists, written for the express purpose of crossing them off....!
  • All aims for today complete. Must go to bed now. Haven't slept well the last few nights. I'm sure this thread is over simulating me.
Dreamt about Bails having food deliveries from Iceland last night... Do you really have long red hair??? OMG:confused: SFT
