Jtb - I know the bus fares are high around here:eek: But I spose £7.50 from brighton to posrtsmouth is quite good!

Did you pop come over this way or worthing? As I just wondered if the train would be cheaper?

£7.50 from Brighton to Portsmouth is excellent. I go from Winchester to Southampton which is ten miles each way and thats £6.00 for a return. Bus fare is so expensive.

Was thinking about that on the work today, now that petrol has gone down a lot and the Govt want people to stop using their cars, shouldn't they lower bus fare?! Not that i can see that ever happening!!

Off now to catch up with the several pages from today already!

I personally wouldn't risk it. Lots of people lost money with Zavvi over gift vouchers and this would be similar. Handing over money without getting the goods is a risk in my opinion as you are gambling on the (unknown) policy of the administrators. Tesco and Asda both do very cheap uniform anyway in the small sizes so I would wait if you don't need stuff right now

thank you, im never too sure on these things, sadly asda and tesco do not do the adjustable waist sizes just elasticated so had to get ds1' from mothercare (which are £8 a pair) i searched for weeks to find some, all 3 of my boys are skinny and little, if trousers dont have the button ealastic waists they nearly always full down

Hi JD ...... yes, I was over your way. DD needed some new school trousers and she gets these very 'specific' ones  from N.Look but they didn't have any in our one here. So, we had to hotfoot it over to your store where, luckily (!) we got them.

Train probably would be cheaper and I think I shall have to start to investigate prices but the bus stop is right outside my house and it's a 1 1/2 mile walk to the train station lol ...... guess I should go for the healthier and cheaper option eh? (Seems like i've just talked myself into going by train next time) :D

    bit of advice needed
is it okto buy from adams online? there school trousers are half price (3.99 a pair in both ds sizes) i am not going to find anything smaller than age 3 for ds2 who will be 4 when he starts school in september (sounds silly but i know he will get a place where his brother go's) but he is still in 12-18 months so even with a growth spurt there still going to be a tad big in september so they will get used, if i go ahead and buy i then only need 2 fleeces for ds1 who will be in a bigger size, 2 sweatshirts for each 2 bookbags and 1 pe kit to have them both kitted out in september, i may not need the sweatshirts yet if ds2 wears ds1's (i shruk them so had to buy ds1 more but got them a bit big)

anyway long story short is it kinda ok to buy online from adams?

Adams were on the news the other day that their shops are closing down-don't risk it!

Would purchases not be protected if you used your credit card? Or is that for purchases over £100? I can never remember how it works!!

ah, I see, ok...I guess its best to leave it then...difficult, though, when you find just what you want at just the right price!
