Fizzel, like CW's old meter, mine is quite a way from the house on the pavement. It's a round metal thing, needs a coin or screwdriver to get the lid off. Your bill does sound a little bit under to me, but you may be very careful with your water ??
Morning all from a fairly snowy part of Cheshire - the sun's come out and it looks so pretty and I'm thankful that I don't have to go out today..I can just sit and admire it from afar.
Today should be a NSD. The electrician has just been round, to fix my kitchen light. I was dreading a huge bill  but he hasn't charged me because he admitted it was his mistake that's caused it to not work properly
So, all being well, a NSD today.
I plan to
1) Study - got loads to catch up on before my latest assignment is due next week
2) Kitchen is a tip so I need to get stuck in and clean it up
3) Further sort out my cleaning products while I clean the kitchen. I'm a huge Stardrops fan but I also seem to collect cleaning prodcuts as I have a bit of a thing about them... (no man in my life, you see :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:) so I need to write down what I've got to convince myself to not buy any more stuff !
Hope everyone has a a good day !0 -

morning all,
well just got back and got about 30 pages to catch up on!!!! you chatty lot. Feel like ive missed alsorts so will have to catch up over the next few days.
New year off to a good start- already on the 5th and not spent a penny yet!! ( had euros since xmas!! but not out of £4k budget). Will need to pop into town later for some fresh stuff but hoping to keep groceries to a minimum this week, lots left over from xmas to start using up. Just made a meal plan for the week and need to write my list of groceries needed next.
Lots of bills to pay but money ready and waiting, they are all last years and so not counted, enourmous gas/elec bill though so i think i will need to address that one very shortly and bring it way down.
Toady i need to finalise budget, do shopping list, washing/drying/ironing and shop before i start back at work tomorrow.
see you all again shortlysealed pot member no :0812011- £306.68 2012-£304.36 2013- £387.44 2014 - £441.43

Just been trying to catch up on the weekend's posts here and I share the stationery fetish thing too ! I love shiny new notebooks and pristine pads, and have so many plans to get organised and keep a diary and keep lists etc etc . I love a brand new notebook! Saw some fab ones in Waterstones with metallic covers but they are soooo £££0

I'm just having my lunch. Homemade soup from the freezer with left over pasta and grated cheese. Its very...interesting! But its food, so will do the job.
I've managed to tidy and hoover, go to the post office, get a load of washing on. I've still got to clean the kitchen and sort out my bubble and squeak concoction!
I pay water rates. I'm sure with 6 of us, 4 of us being female, it works out cheaper. Apparently you can get a meter put in and you've got 11 months to try it out and then you can change back? I think I would just be stressed out all the time about our consumption. Our electricity is bad enough. Dh has servers in the garage and they use just over half our consumption on their own. That reminds me, I need to get him to sort them out to try to save costs..I'm sure I would find this challenge much easier if it was just me!0 -
It is much quieter now everyone is at work...I wonder if that means it'll go crazy overnight?0
