Well I've emailed cccs with the truth and see what they say. Find it hard to say things like that over the phone as I just get upset :o

The worst cccs can do is say no. The worst my creditors can do is issue a ccj or make me bankrupt - whatever!

    Afternoon all

some good news on here for some of us - looking at the list of 'nice' creditors has given me a bit of a lift - have had tons of missed calls from M&S money (cc 8k) but then today a letter arrived 'thanking me for my letter' (the cccs standard one offering token pymnt & i gave them £20) but insisting i call them immediatley as they will not correspond other than by phone!

so tonight as soon as i get in a going to call them - from everybodys experiance - will this be a 'demand money' type call?? ( at a stage where 1 payment missed & am waiting to see if cccs are going to take on my creditors miunus my hsbc bank debt (loooong story - basically i work for hsbc can't put them on the dmp)

don't know why but i feel really scared!!! i know probaly going to get a lot worse - maybe cos m&s are the first to contact me - i'll probably be a right tough old bird in a few months!!:rotfl:

    sas

    Hi,

I know creditors deal with individuals differently but my experience of M&S was fine - they accepted my DMP straight away (said not to worry these things sometimes can't be helped). I don't recall reading many (any?) negative comments on M&S so I am sure you will be pleasantly surprised when you call then later.....

Hi newlywed, sorry about your Dad, I'm sure cccs will be fine reducing the payment for a month, personally I would insist anyway, you should'nt be stressing about money at a time like this.
    Hope you get on ok.

    hiya kudox

well this is exactly why i went via the legal request of all my cca's cos they bullied and harrassed me so much on the phone, i was off ill for over a year while i was trying to negotiate my payments plan,,,,they just dont care,,,so now im much stronger,,,i dont really care neither, its been a long hard road to get to this mental frame of mind, and no one or no creditor is going to bully me anymore.

i wish to view all my cca;s then if they are legal and valid and i will see what i can do within my power to put things on a level footing,

if not then i will continue to challenge them as they have clearly not put their own house in order and they will have to suffer the consequence of this

what i dont want other to do is fall in the trap that creditors have your health, sanity and good interests at heart, my experience shows me they dont, they really dont,,,even after i sent them a copy of the letter from my doc they more of less inferred i was not taking my responsibilities seriously,,,,

however, like ive said each of us has now to make our own choices, in what we wish to do what we wish to achieve, and what route we choose to do,,,

from the way i was treated, it forced me to address everything that in a mad way, it made me stronger and gave me the will to overcome my own illness, and get fighting back in whatever means i could

for those of you who continue to go on a dmp, without asking for your cca's which is a legal right of yours,,, good luck,,,, i may have to do that myself once im happy that the cca for each creditor is correct, legal and just, however, so far i have one that could be fine, but would need a courts intervention to enforce it as a fully exectuded agreement, will the creditor take me to court,,,no they sell the debt on and on and on

out of 13 it just shows the rest have not yet turned up, others are flawed, or they try and just send terms and conditions,,,,

i know in my heart of heart if i dont follow through with this all , i will never forgive myself and each day i thank everyone who gives me help and the strength to continue to bring a conclusion in each of my battles.

keep strong everyone, and if you are paying on the dmp,,,at least ensure you claim back all the penalty charges and interest, and wishing you luck

    laters all maz
Hi Maz, I couldn't have said it better myself, I have got so fed up of one creditor in particular, hassling me, phoning about 10 times a day, adding interest and charges, £200 a month when my DMP payment is only 30 odd quid, that I decided enough was enough, and I'm fighting back.
I've given up feeling intimidated by them and feel the more I go into the legal side of things the stronger and more confident I feel.
I know this isn't for everyone, and I couldn't have done it without the help and advice from the amazing people on this site, but it's definately the right approach for me.
    Keep strong everyone:D

Have they sent it through already? If you've sent it from paypal it normally takes a few days to get through so you maybe able to cancel it?
