Also HSBC haven't called my mobile today and only phoned my house phone at 8am this morning, so feeling a little strange as to why they have gone so quiet on me, do they have a cunning plan
I had this too, a whole month of peace and quiet! Then it started again.....not as much this time, but its back!:j Only 5 years until I'm debt free! :j

Thanks so much everyone for updating us with your creditors etc etc, it really does help me so much to stay positive and not think of my debts 24/7. Phone still been quiet apart from HSBC calling me at 08:30 this morning, didn't answer because I am busy getting 3 kids ready at that time and getting myself ready for work. Got some xtra unexpected money yesterday ( only £300.00 ) so this is going away for money emergency fund. Have a nice day everyone xxxLBM MAY 2009 :T

Capital One.. A reply to my letter/offer/token payment.
It's actually (so far) very 'kind and polite' ..
Thanking me for my letter.. that they understand it may be a difficult time. How they are happy to help me 'explore an appropriate solution to my current debt problems'
Thanks me for sending an SOA.. and that.. 'All we need now is' a photocopy of the benefits I receive and 'how much and how frequently'. Also. a copy of one wage slip. (within the last 3 mths) aaand.. a 'copy of one bank statement showing income and general living expenses'.. (to ONLY send copies) ... That they have included a prepaid envelope for my 'convenience' (they havent.. haha.. but hey ho)
I know we don't HAVE to send those things.. but.. I Saw CCCS Matthew say if you were happy to do that that was fine. .. As (so far) Capital One are seeming to be helpful I think I am going to send those things. (not saying I would do that for all of them tho)
Also.. they say that they need to info back within 7days to 'enable' them to 'help me'
and.. that until they receive them I will continue to receive any due fees and interest on my account. Therefore I should 'act promptly'
The wording is all pretty friendly though.. (so far) :rotfl:Very proud of trying to deal with my debts. LBM 04/09

Hi everyone
Thought I’d throw in my creditor experience as well:
GE Money x 4 loan accounts: Accepted payment straight away, but still charging interest. Must get my finger out and write to them to request stopping this, as payments don’t even meet the interest charges.
Halifax Loan: Passed to Blair Oliver Scott, Payments accepted and interest etc all stopped, even offered 50% FF payable over three months.
MBNA x 3: Accepted payments and stopped all interest for next 12months.
Next: Accepted payments and stopped all interest for next 12months.
BOS Preference x 2: - Passed to Blair Oliver Scott, Payments accepted and interest etc all stopped, even offered 50% FF payable over three months
RBS CC: Accepted Payment and have now stopped interest etc took them a couple of months for them to do this.
Style CC (Natwest): Accepted Payment and have now stopped interest etc took them a couple of months for them to do this.
Tesco CC (RBS): Accepted Payment and have now stopped interest etc. took them a couple of months for them to do this.
Also on a positive note I’ve had no phone calls for approx 3 months, or letters. Postie must be thinking something strange is happening as previously we had shed loads of mail everyday.

Hey everyone, just checking in to see how everyones doing, guess there's not many knocking about tonight, what with the footie being on.
Interesting to read the earlier post from Maz, I'm in the middle of CCA requests with several of my creditors, Marbles have started to be really difficult since they were taken over by BOS, basically I have gone back to the start with them, they refuse to accept I've been paying this account as part of my DMP since last Oct, and have started to add interest and charges again, nearly £200 this month:eek:.
Considering they're only getting 30 odd quid a month it's ridiculous.
So far they've not come up with the necessary documents so I'm hoping this will give me good bargaining power to getting the interest stopped again.
Anyway keep up the good work everyone.
hiya kudox
well this is exactly why i went via the legal request of all my cca's cos they bullied and harrassed me so much on the phone, i was off ill for over a year while i was trying to negotiate my payments plan,,,,they just dont care,,,so now im much stronger,,,i dont really care neither, its been a long hard road to get to this mental frame of mind, and no one or no creditor is going to bully me anymore.
i wish to view all my cca;s then if they are legal and valid and i will see what i can do within my power to put things on a level footing,
if not then i will continue to challenge them as they have clearly not put their own house in order and they will have to suffer the consequence of this
what i dont want other to do is fall in the trap that creditors have your health, sanity and good interests at heart, my experience shows me they dont, they really dont,,,even after i sent them a copy of the letter from my doc they more of less inferred i was not taking my responsibilities seriously,,,,
however, like ive said each of us has now to make our own choices, in what we wish to do what we wish to achieve, and what route we choose to do,,,
from the way i was treated, it forced me to address everything that in a mad way, it made me stronger and gave me the will to overcome my own illness, and get fighting back in whatever means i could
for those of you who continue to go on a dmp, without asking for your cca's which is a legal right of yours,,, good luck,,,, i may have to do that myself once im happy that the cca for each creditor is correct, legal and just, however, so far i have one that could be fine, but would need a courts intervention to enforce it as a fully exectuded agreement, will the creditor take me to court,,,no they sell the debt on and on and on
out of 13 it just shows the rest have not yet turned up, others are flawed, or they try and just send terms and conditions,,,,
i know in my heart of heart if i dont follow through with this all , i will never forgive myself and each day i thank everyone who gives me help and the strength to continue to bring a conclusion in each of my battles.
keep strong everyone, and if you are paying on the dmp,,,at least ensure you claim back all the penalty charges and interest, and wishing you luck

hiya i just wanted to alert you should you take up the offer of the bos, at 50% ensure it is a final settlement and they mark your credit file as Fully Satisfied and they agree they will not persue the remainder or sell the rest onto another debt collection agency
i dont trust bos and hbos in how they have treated me and i dont want anyone to feel they are getting a good deal when they may not be,,,,
before you accept if you think you could, get back all the penalty charges and interst and then negoitiate a 50/% discount with all credit file activitiy defaults etc removed too from your credit file
good luck cheers mazSealed Pot Challenge member 1525

Thanks Maz
After reading all the advice on here, when I'm in a position to make the F&F settlements then I'll make sure it's all in writing before I give them a penny. However it is all theoretical at the moment as we're currently owe them 29K in total with the smallest one sitting at £2k so I'm try to build up a fund to pay that then let the others run their course for the time being.
