I can imagine they are really busy at the moment, did the advisor not offer to arrange anything over the phone? How did she leave things?
Hi Leese
Hmm thats the thing.. no.. she arranged nothing!..
Just said she would make a note of what I had said.. 'That I was doing a DMP .. my PP number.. and that I had no money to pay them.. other than wincey offers each month. .. and that I was waiting for a reply from HSBC as to what to do next'
thats it!!
oh.. and guess what she DID say?... That maybe I would be interested in a managed loan with them.. I said.. 'hmmm.. thats a big part of what got me IN this mess'... But she gave me the number anyway
and that was it..
But.. after all that yapping.. she STILL said.. did I have an account or another card I could make a payment from to my loan account so that I didn't incur any further charges?.
HELLO?!!... what have we been talking about for the last 15mins??

Goodluck Eupho!! I have honestly found they seem to ease off a little once you've talked to them!
Also have you reclaimed any charges yet??
I know that bit wasn't for me ^ haha..
But.. speaking of charges.. I was thinking it would be better to wait until I was a goood lonnnngg way into this. Before I tried to claim any.. surely I'm about to get HEAPS of them?

Okaaaay..
After 11 days of HSBC ringing nonstop! (but none of the other 12 yet?) ..
I finally picked up!It was the Loan department.. She was telling me that my account has no missed a payment and is now £174 behind..
Sooo.. I explained to her that I had written to HSBC 11days ago.. a letter explaining my circs .. my SOA .. a token payment.. and that I was now doing a DMP. She was actually quite 'nice' about it all .. BUT!.. I am no further forward.. as there (so far) is no record on my loan files of the letter/DMP .. or anything other than it has missed one payment.:rolleyes:
Hi Eupho
HSBC tried that with me too - claiming they had no knowledge of my DMP etc etc. I called their bluff and said that someone in their organisation must have knowledge of it because the recorded letter was received on XX (date), and my token payment was received on XX (date) as have subsequent CCCS payments. She said she'd update my file but still needed the stuff. I've asked CCCS to send out the agreement, budget stuff etc again...
But of course it's all a big 'dance' that we're doing. They know full well about my circumstances, will no doubt claim they didn't get the second lot of info from CCCS, and keep hounding me for the next 5 months or so until (fingers crossed) my account will be passed to their DCA who will (fingers crossed) accept my payment. In fact, that phone call was about a week ago and they are still calling me. It really is nothing short of harassment. I'm going to send out that telephone harassment letter soon - am doubtful that it will make any difference.LBM - March 2009, DMP Start - April 2009

I wandered how long it would be before you was offered a managed loan!!! Cant believe she hasnt arranged anything, just make sure you make a log of the time and date you spoke to her, so you can keep track of all the attempts you have made to repay. I cant believe she asked if you could pay uh duhhhhhhhhhhhhh please put your script down for at least 1 min and be a human being not a robotLBM MAY 2009 :T

Also HSBC haven't called my mobile today and only phoned my house phone at 8am this morning, so feeling a little strange as to why they have gone so quiet on me, do they have a cunning plan :eek:LBM MAY 2009 :T

Thanks for that DG.. that made understand it a bit more. Now I know that was the HSBC Loan number calling for a fat chunk of the time, (it may also be HSBC cc too) ..
I am going to send off a telephone harassment thing to them now. They have been FULL ON. .. Scary at first.. but in the end just made me annoyed. :rotfl:
