Hi all.
A bit of help needed this morning please....my OH is just starting his DMP with CCCS, and Halifax are playing silly b****rs and won't give him the sort code for his loan.....he's making his first payment to CCCS on 1st June, and CCCS have said if they don't receive the sort code within 28 days they'll have to remove this from his plan! Obviously he's really worried as without this in his plan he's going to have difficulties... has anyone experienced these problems and overcome them at all? Or can anyone offer us any advice?
Thanks my lovelies...hope your plans are all going well
Hello MRSG2B!!:)
How was he previously paying for his loan? The full account number should be on any DD/SO you've set up. If not, why not check through all your original setting up paperwork - it should be there somewhere. If not, ring customer services and ask - maybe don't mention about the DMP, just perhaps say you are considering moving your current account (if it's not with Halifax), or sorting out your finances, making up a finance file to be organised and need it... etc. Can't see that their deposit account number should be a trade secret!! Do they want the money or not!! :rotfl:
Best wishes

Thanks for that, be good to get it started. How long did you find it took for the creditors to start coming back to you?
I've got Egg,Halifax,GE Capital (Debenhams) and Barclays Bank
Cheers
I haven't had any letters from my creditors to say if they were accepting my DMP with CCCS, I've had to phone each of them to find out, which wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, they were all helpful and polite.
Out of your list I've got Egg as well, they sent a standard default letter and then an account terminated letter a few weeks later saying that it would be passed over to a DCA. Although since that letter I've now phoned their collections department and they said that they've received notification of my DMP and as I'm with CCCS they are accepting the DMP payments, the account won't be passed to a DCA after all and they will freeze interest from now on - so I'm just hoping that's all true. Hopefully it will be the same for you.
Good luck to all who are just starting out with a DMP :beer:0 -

Hello everyone! Long time no posting for me...just been really busy so thought id drop in and see how everyone is doing!
Hope everything is going well for you all.
My update as some of you will remember in Feb i swapped from a fee paying dmp that id been with for 3 years and changed over to payplan.
Iv been with payplan for almost 4 months now, 4th payment due to them on monday and the change over when quite smoothly, only had 2 small problems, Natwest was the biggest creditor and payplan sent the payment to the wrong account number so took 2 months to sort it all out and track payment and Natwest in the mean time passed the debt onto Apex who have been fantstic and they are now reciveing payment via payplan to the right account number !lol
Halifax credit card are unbeliveable keep ring to say im paying...wait for it...TOO MUCH!!!!! Cant get over them say because payplans payments are over 2% of the ballace each month the system has trouble accepting that im on a dmp!! Oh well the system will just have to get used to it !!!lol
Iv been offered 3 full and finalls again, but still cant take up the offers as much as i would love to, Apex offered a settlement 4k less than my ballace!
But life is still all good, debt dropping each month by alot more than when i was with the fee paying vultures, and only approx 26 payments to go (depending on interest ect) so the light at the end of the tunnel is getting big and bigger!
To all you just starting out, hang in there, the journey gets easier, the worry and phone calls do stop and life begins again.
Take care everyone
Donna

Glad we could be of help Dash!! :j
Maybe get your paperwork sorted ahead of your call with PayPlan. It does feel a bit scary and uncomfortable, but once you know where you are you can try to fix it, and I'm sure PayPlan will have some good advice.
Feel free to post any questions you like, no matter how silly they seem, and someone will normally be able to help you. Glad you're feeling better - remember you are not alone!! :grouphug:
Best wishes

It is a scary feeling tackling debts and we all feel the same, but once things start to get sorted and Payplan take over you will start to feel positive, I am arranging my own, only because i am a control freak :rotfl:well done for stepping up and confronting the demon debts :TLBM MAY 2009 :T

I owe NR a total of £28 K over three loans and apart from them wanted me to revise my budget (move it around no less taken from me) they were cool and have accepted,I have a mortgage with them so was worried but they have been good so far-touch wood *touches head*
xx
ohhh I feel more confident now, was so worried NR will be assey with me ( still could ) but not as afraid now I know they are accepting people. Did you go via a debt charity or your own DMP? XXXLBM MAY 2009 :T
