As a matter of interest what creditors do people have on here and which ones have accepted your reduced payments, mine are:
Virginmoney ( MBNA )
Northern rock
Halifax
Natwest
Citicard
Littlewoods
HSBC x 4
Don't know yet whether they have accepted my DIY DMP as letters only just been sent off. Sorry if I have missed any off, there are so many
I have 2 with Halifax (Credit card and Overdraft)
1 with Barclays
and 1 with Mercedes Finance. All accepted. I wasnt sure that Mercedes (not mercedes now, but you know what I mean) would accept it, but happy daysI know my spelling is shocking  It is alot better than it used to be though :rotfl:0 -
Hello everyone! Long time no posting for me...just been really busy so thought id drop in and see how everyone is doing!
Hope everything is going well for you all.
My update as some of you will remember in Feb i swapped from a fee paying dmp that id been with for 3 years and changed over to payplan.
Iv been with payplan for almost 4 months now, 4th payment due to them on monday and the change over when quite smoothly, only had 2 small problems, Natwest was the biggest creditor and payplan sent the payment to the wrong account number so took 2 months to sort it all out and track payment and Natwest in the mean time passed the debt onto Apex who have been fantstic and they are now reciveing payment via payplan to the right account number !lol
Halifax credit card are unbeliveable keep ring to say im paying...wait for it...TOO MUCH!!!!! Cant get over them say because payplans payments are over 2% of the ballace each month the system has trouble accepting that im on a dmp!! Oh well the system will just have to get used to it !!!lol
Iv been offered 3 full and finalls again, but still cant take up the offers as much as i would love to, Apex offered a settlement 4k less than my ballace!
But life is still all good, debt dropping each month by alot more than when i was with the fee paying vultures, and only approx 26 payments to go (depending on interest ect) so the light at the end of the tunnel is getting big and bigger!
To all you just starting out, hang in there, the journey gets easier, the worry and phone calls do stop and life begins again.
Take care everyone
Donna

Hi all.
A bit of help needed this morning please....my OH is just starting his DMP with CCCS, and Halifax are playing silly b****rs and won't give him the sort code for his loan.....he's making his first payment to CCCS on 1st June, and CCCS have said if they don't receive the sort code within 28 days they'll have to remove this from his plan! Obviously he's really worried as without this in his plan he's going to have difficulties... has anyone experienced these problems and overcome them at all? Or can anyone offer us any advice?
Thanks my lovelies...hope your plans are all going well:j Only 5 years until I'm debt free! :j

HSBC have accepted my credit card and lowered interest to 6% for 6 months initially. My loan and OD have still not been acknowledged yet...
Littlewoods seem to have frozen interest atm, though nothing formal in writing from them.
I know my OH MBNA accounts have accepted, though depending on what cards you have with them ie Tescos, MBNA etc, they will have varying rates of reduced interest!
Hope this helps!:j Only 5 years until I'm debt free! :j

Hi
Hope you're all well. I have a quick question for those of you on a DMP. I have been accepted by CCCS and have put my statements and everything together to send to them today and am also going to send out the letters to the creditors. I was just wondering, if I send it today, how long it is likely to take for them to set up my first payment to them. I know that they normally take the payment on the first of every month so is it likely to be 1st July or 1st August.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Hi Kevin,
They usually process things really quickly, I'd say if you send it off today then your date will more than likely be 1st July.....I didn't send mine off until midway through the month and I got mine start the following months

Super thanks for the replies, makes me feel alot more confident hearing stories that are successful. Anybody know how Northern rock are nowadays at accepting DMP's? I know they used to be quite agressive but wandering whether this has changed?LBM MAY 2009 :T
