Might be worth checking out for anyone having probs with Barclaycard? Look at the most recent few pages and the posts by a B'Card employee. I think it reinforces why you should NEVER speak to them on the phone - they really couldn't give a damn. Keep it all in writing and definitely log all their calls - (I had 2 in 4 minutes today)
(I hope this hasn't broken any guidelines but it made me REALLY angry)
Hope all are well,
CM, x
Barclaycard have rung me 22 times today i have caller display and have stopped answering the phone.
Doing a self managed due to lack of funds to be taken on my a DMP company. Both my husband and i work for the same company and have been on three day week since Christmas. I have now been made redundant and he goes back to working 5 days from next week so not sure what i am going to do next. On top of that i am having an op so will not be able to look for work till healed.
Oh it just gets better
I am paying token gestures of £1.00 .
When i get my official letter next week (could cange if we get orders in) i will do the cab and all the others to see what i can do.
I thought i would be a wreck but you guys have helped. I have read lots even though i have only posted a few times. Thank You ine and all. Officially Debt Free Nov 2012 :beer:0 -

Why are over payments dodgy on a DMP? I'm counting on being able to make extra payments when I can get the work / sell things..... is this not a good idea? CCCS said that I could do this - is there a reason why I shouldn't?
Thanks

What you could do is inform CCCS and make an extra payment to them so it can be evenly distributed between your creditors if thats possible.I'm always in the brown stuff (marmite)....only the depth varies!!! :rotfl:0 -

Hi Mags,
I'm no expert but I'm with Elsie on this one. If you've got some spare just store it in a savings account (unless you're talking thousands!:rotfl:), you never know if you may need it for a rainy day, remember no CC's anymore to fall back on. If your stash get's nice and big maybe you could go for a few full and finals later down the line.;)
Take care all

Evening all! How nice was it to see that yellow thing in the sky today? Really nice it was, the only problem when the nice weather is on it's way is you start moaning about how crap the garden looks and how rubbish your patio set is, but I made myself feel better by eating 2 Crunchie ice cream lollies ( I know fat bummed mum eh?!
)
Had a letter from GUS telling us to do one over the ppi reclaim, well it was a stab in the dark going back to 2001/02 but you have to give these things a go  I'll write one more letter since I am still waiting for the info from the SAR I sent them. You never know....
OH came home today and said he is off all next week being self employed that means no wages , work looking a bit slow again. I knew it was too good to be true, the credit crunch seemed to be affecting others and he was really lucky to be riding it through with work since January but looks like it could be slowing again
We are not so worried this time though IF it is only going to be for a few weeks at the most, with our ppi reclaims at least we have some savings behind us so it won't feel too desperate to live on one wage but really hoping it just slows down not stops completely. Thats what I hate so much about being in debt. If OH had no work it wouldn't be so much of a problem, we'd survive but its always there, the debt at the back of your mind isn't it?.
ooohhhh I can't wait to be debt free and book that dream holiday to Gran Canaria  Thats what keeps me going sometimes, knowing it won't be forever.
I hope everyone is well and not eyeing up their kids easter eggs! tut tut!DMP support thread member 211 :cool:I'm only here to get some medals......honest!0 -
Hi TP, Crunchie ice-creams are the best!!!:D
You are right - it won't be forever. At least we are all doing something constructive about our debts.
Just imagine if you had done nothing - you would be in a worse mess, stressed out up to the hilt - at least this way, we all will be so money-savvy by the end of our dmps - however long they last.
Nothing new with me, posted my CCCS stuff and 2nd lot of tokens on Monday..............waiting now for things to get started hopefully on May 1st.
Looking forward to 4 days off over Easter - yay!!!!Proud to be dealing with my debts

Hey TP hope you're doing ok, good to catch you at the same time.
Ha ha funny you talking about the weather being nice, it's been awful here today , cold and windy.
Hope your OH's work situation improves soon, we were in same situation early in year if you remember.DMP Support Thread Member 238DMP started October 20080 -
Thanks for that guys, this time last year OH was earning probably double a week, mind you this time last year we knew we were in trouble with debt too!
I just want everything to go smoothly and it never does. I want the creditors to stop being awkward and let us pay what we can (would consider paying a bit more if they stopped messing around ) and sorted out the ppi claims. I want OH work and pay to be stable and not have to worry about next week, next month etc
I had to arrange to pay rent by direct debit as we kept having letters for arrearswe didn't miss payments just found it hard to get ahead for the month and they always want you to pay ahead. I just think 'look if we had the money do you not think we would pay?'
We only get a certain amount each month, what do these people think you can do with your money? How far do they want it to stretch?
It's not just debts I'm on about but general living like gas, electric, school meals, petrol etc
Rent and council tax gone up too so waiting for the tax credits to send out renewal pack to make claim before I contact CCCS to arrange a review. There's no point just yet if tax credits go down, it would mess the payments up to creditors and don't want to offer more only to change it the next month, I think it sets them off if they get more then less, even if it genuine I think they think you are trying it on. :mad:DMP support thread member 211 :cool:I'm only here to get some medals......honest!0 -

I'm with the others, I'd save the money up, then either keep for emergencies (and nothing else), pay off a lump between creditors once a year, or save it for FnFs at the end of the DMP. Regular extra payments will mean that creditors want it every time...DMP mutual support thread No: 2430 -

I have a quick query and was wondering if anyone could advise?
I'm doing a joint DMP with my hubbie as I don't currently work and have another year of study before I will be earning again. His creditors have been fab - accepted reduced payments and frozen interest and charges (All except B'card but that's a whole other story.) A couple of mine, however, are being particularly awkward.
Would it be worth reminding them that my husband is not legally responsible for my debts and that, should they keep being difficult, I will separate my finances from his so that basically they'll get b****r all? I don't want to do this but I'm fed up with paying interest and charges and my hubbie would get his debts cleared up so much quicker if he wasn't paying mine too.
Any advice appreciated,
