    Hi all
This is my first post for a long time....... Searched through but can't find much about Lloyds TSB. Just wondered if anyone has had any dealings with thm on a DMP.
    Many thanks

As others have already said, LloydsTSB are really unhelpful. They have continued to charge interest on both my CC and overdraft.

They are also seemingly incompetent. They continually contradict themselves and even deny receiving things if you hand deliver them to the branch.

They are accepting my DMP, but it isn't making much impact on these debts.

Hi i'm dithering over the DMP, although it is my only option (apart from IVA or non payment) I am really worried I will get people knocking at my door for the money.
    Has anyone experienced this?
    Thanks xx

It does happen, but from what is said in here, it is rare.

Even if they do, they have no rights, just tell them they are trespassing and to go away.

    Hiya,

As Tigert says, some creditors, especially the DCA's do have in house "field collection agents" who very rarely come calling at your house. I think they have to inform you prior to their visit though as some people on here have mentioned that they have received a "we will be calling on........" card, but i'm not 100% sure as it has never happened to me with any of my creditors in my DMP. However, these people have absolutely no right to enter your property or to take away your goods. If they do call, be strong and tell them where to go and state if they return you will do them for trespass.

Only a bailiff can legally enter your home and seize your goods and only a court can instruct a bailiff to come to your home. Even then, this would only happen if you defaulted on a CCJ repayment plan, so your creditors would have to take you to court and sucessfully apply for a CCJ against you before anything like this would happen.

Hope this puts your mind at ease.

    Cocker:)

Really do feel awful about having to do DMP but suppose needs must.:o
Been looking at others experiences with different companies and transfering as much as poss away from the horrible ones!! Not sure if I'm supposed to do this but....
Lloyds TSB are my largest debt on CC and 2 x loans:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: can't believe how much they have given me, I take full responsibility for the money I've borrowed but they almost throw it down your throat, surely a case could be put together somewhere for their irresponsibility, wish I had the time!

If you do get a calling card, don't bother to call them. Chances are it is just a tactic to make you think someone is coming. You then call them and they try to pressure you into paying.

Let them waste their time sending someone if they really want to.

Don't feel bad about the DMP. Peoples situations change. It was entirely my fault I got into the mess I'm in, but I'm here now and a DMP is a way of taking proper steps to pay everything back. Much better than hiding from the problem.

    Hi again........
Just been reading through some of the older posts. I'm really panicking (yes I do that alot) all my cards have had major transactions on them recently, balance transfers purchases etc, are you supposed to stop making transactions before starting a DMP in order for them to accept it?

I have just transfered tesco cc as mortgage with rbs and didn't want them taking money from that! and just read GE money is now part of A&L and I have store card which I think are same people! ALso have Lloyds, egg, Citi, Capital one, M&S and next.

Hi Clucky, I will sort out a number for you when I'm in better shape (A friend is expecting a baby soon and this was his last night of freedom. A few beers with the lads was in order)...

    Err, questions....

I got to the stage before the DMP, where I was maxed out on cards and had nothing really left, which kinda forced my hand... Once you speak to a DMP company, stop all payments to your creditors, other than the 1 or 2 quid token payments.

All creditors, although forceful, have been very reasonable to me, once they know you are serious. For all they know (as I've said before), you are pulling the wool over their eyes. An example is Halifax & IF & Sainsburys (All BOS) who have been pretty good, Halifax & IF have passed over to Wescot, & Blair, Oliver & Scott Debt Collectors respectively. I rang them both up and explained the situation, and seem happy to accept payments and carry on as normal. Both seemed understanding.

    Linked accounts...
    Try this:

At the end of it all, although nervous at the start, I've tried to be open and honest to creditors, but have responded to calls in my own time. They always ring when I'm away (I only gave my home number, they don't leave a message, so they can wait for me to ring them.

I'm sure they'll be good times, and I'm sure they'll be bad, but there was no other option than for me to go on a DMP (or an IVA) and sort out the problem, rather than getting a secure loan (Yes I tried that, and so glad I didn't get it. I wouldn't have survived 5 mins).

Right, I'm off to bed. Up again for work in 5 hours to help pay off my debts...

    Morning all.
