Hi - i dont want to rain on your parade but if it interest overdraft charges they sometimes go on overnight on the last working day - i thought last month that mine had stopped but when i logged on the next working day - there they were! Hopefully this wont be the case for you:confused: .

Road tax can be found on the direct.gov website - i generally just google road tax costs.

    Hope this helps xx

D4mn it!! You are indeed correct! Just checked and the have charged me both interest and charge for last month's over od and have yet again put me over my od limit! so i am sure to get the same again next month and it will increase each month! what a stupid vicious circle they have created!! tbh i don't really care as they will still regardless get the same payplan payment each month! but why why why do they do it? How does it help them OR me?

Rant over! Ta MSC!! And ta VERY much for nothing Natwest!

OK. So I have a question! Is it worth me paying enough in now to at least cover the charge next month? Just this once? then at least it should stay within the od and the payplan payment will cover the interest at least. and it will start very slowly to get paid off? I'm sick of it! and am going to try and claim back charges soon anyway!

What do you think? Would you do it? It grates me to do it, but this is simply ridiculous!!!

    Hi everyone

I have a query, this is our 2nd month on the DMP. We sent £1 token payments in February and the 1st DMP payments in March, shortly coming up to our 2nd.

However, there are 3 creditors we havent heard anything from.

    Nationwide CC
    Tesco CC
    Abbey CC

I spoke to CCCS today who said chances are they have accepted the DMP but are not bothering to write to us or CCCS.

Has anyone else had anything like this happen to them?

We have a Tesco CC on ours and they were one of the last to accept. took them near on 3 months. they claimed to not have received anything and didn't respond to either me or PP to accept. and then after 2 months sent their own finance form for us to fill in! pp then sent the I/E again but no idea if that was before or after they accepted in the end!

Not sure about the others but it does take a while for some! I have heard nothing from my old bank account still! and the theiving b's are still charging me!!

Oh and Happy DMP start day to all that start today!!!!!!!

    Hi all,

Well I'm into the 2nd month of my DMP and its good news and bad news. MBNA (loan + CC) were actually the first to accept the plan. They did use AEGIS at first who contacted me up to 10 times a day, but when I phoned MBNA themselves and explained I was going through CCCS they accepted almost immediately. I know thats not always the case with MBNA, just wanted to share how things went with me.
Halifax CC have just sent me a letter saying they will accept the reduced payments on the condition I don't use my card for further purchases....that sounds like a fair deal to me! ;)
Natwest, NastyWest, NitwitWest, NickNackPaddywackWest (I aim to find a new name for them everyday!!) are being the ultimate of (insert rude word here). Denying all knowledge of CCCS paperwork, which has now been sent 3 times!!!!
Sainsbury's CC were originally the quiet one, but for the past 2 days I've had up to 5 calls on my mobile a day. CCCS say that anything RBOS owned tend to be the most difficult, so looks like I'm in for a rough ride for the forseeable future. :(
I'm always in the brown stuff (marmite)....only the depth varies!!! :rotfl:
  • We've started the process today with CCCS for the DMP and I have some questions for you knowledgeable people!

    1) By selling loads of things and using my over draft (as normal) I can pay the minimum payments this month.
    2) How long do the CoOp take after filling out the application form for a new bank account.
    3) When do I start telling the creditors?
    4) If I requested the pack today when is it likely to start?

Feeling a little better every hour!

Congratulations everyone who is starting a DMP on April 1st!! :j :j
Can I come and join the party??
As has been said before, I couldn't have done it without the support of various peope on this forum, so a big THANK YOU to those of you who have answered my various pleas for help! And to anyone lurking out there wondering what to do about a dire financial situation, I thoroughly recommend talking to a non-fee paying company who can put you in the right direction! Today is my first day on a DMP with CCCS.

Just to update those who also have debts with HSBC - HSBC have finally stopped phoning me! Possibly because they have sent me documents about transferring my OD and personal loan into a Managed Loan. I've seen loads of bad press about these loans and rang CCCS for their advice. Counsellor said she would strongly recommend not taking up the managed loan (not least because the monthly payment would be more than CCCS have budgeted for them) as they can lead to all sorts of problems with interest racking up etc. So I'm taking their advice, ignoring the loan offer, which will probably lead to a re-start in phonecalls GRRR  but will likely lead to them transferring my £7k to a DMC, I think it's Metropolis, who are in turn more likely to accept the CCCS offer instead. In the meantime I've got to keep paying my monthly payment.

Anyway, thought I'd pass this on to those who are in a similar situation with HSBC...

I love the comments on this page - especially from the new DMP'ers! Enjoy the fact that we now have accounts in credit!!!! albeit in our new basic bank accounts! I know we can do it!! :T :T

AAArgh Banks! Does anyone else here deal predominantly with their other half's debts? I do, and I find getting creditors to talk to you (when they have already received written authorisation of course!) seems to be a real hit and miss affair. Even contacting the same creditor on the same number can have different results. Today I have been told twice that it is illegal for the bank to discuss my partners details with me despite having written authorisation... but I know full well its not illegal at all, and the same bank is happy to talk to me on his other accounts. Sorry to rant but I've had an afternoon of creditor calls and dealing with over £1,000 of missing money paid by Payplan to the bank (I'd hate to say who lost it as it would be very unfair on Barclays!) and I'm practically foaming at the mouth now!
