As to wether you would get the credit for this it depends who you've upset. Actually me and DH have mobile contracts and all they said to us was to take out mobile phone budgets and pay from our funds we have left over,ie;we over budgeted on a few things like fuel etc and it comes out of this. They didnt want any details as to do with the phones so dont understand why you would even have to mention to them. And hubby has just renewed his phone contract and got an unpgrade with O2 and all ok and we are DMP
Dont worry I am sure you will still be able to get the phone as long as you budget for it why not?

same company. Was actually considering upgrading but couldn't find anything i wanted so decided to do the 'right' thing and decrease my bill to £10 a month instead! I'm not sure what it's like if you change company, but I'd be surprised if it would matter.DMP Mutual Support Thread Member No 261Debt at start of DMP (Jan 2009) = 46,147.86 Now = 36,826.98DFD = [STRIKE]Jan 2014[/STRIKE] May 2013 ([strike]60[/strike] [STRIKE]52[/STRIKE] 41 payments to go)NSD:Nov 12/12:jDec 9/10 Jan 5/10Slowly but surely:coffee:0 -

I don't know if they do a credit check but I would doubt it very much!
Maybe you could phone one (maybe one that you weren't planning on going for) and ask if they do a credit check?
but if they do i'd say you should stay with the company you're with now as i'm pretty sure as long as you've been paying your bill ok up til now they won't question it!DMP Mutual Support Thread Member No 261Debt at start of DMP (Jan 2009) = 46,147.86 Now = 36,826.98DFD = [STRIKE]Jan 2014[/STRIKE] May 2013 ([strike]60[/strike] [STRIKE]52[/STRIKE] 41 payments to go)NSD:Nov 12/12:jDec 9/10 Jan 5/10Slowly but surely:coffee:0 -

I'm on 3 and purchased from the 3 store. Was Credit checked when I first took out the contract, but on renewal/upgrade they didn't ask for anything except 1 form of id (Passport or Driving Licence).LBM : March 2008

Hi all
Im in the process of starting a DMP with Payplan. I had my first phone interview yesturday morning and it went really well.
I have just shy of 30k of depts and would pay around £270 per month for 8 years compared to £660 that I do currently.
What is the next step? What statements or paperwork will I have to produce? Im assuming bank statements and so on but im not sure. Any help would be really appreciated.
Hi Keeno
I'm not with Payplan but with CCCS - (start 01.04.09) - but presumably they work in a similar way.... After I worked out my budget they then sent me a 'DMP Agreement Form' which I had to sign and return, and the paperwork they asked for was as follows:
1. Evidence of Income:
In my case this was just my payslip, but if you receive benefits etc I think they may need a copy of a recent letter confirming the amount you get or a photocopy of a benefit book etc).
2. Evdience of Debts (this must include your name and address, the creditor's name and address, a reference /card number/ account number / amount owing):
For my credit cards, I sent my most recent statement.
In the case of internet banks, like Cahoot, send a letter confirming their address etc, which presumably you must have had at some point, perhaps when you set up a D/D, or your original agreement.
Overdraft - I got internet statements from HSBC, so I sent the most recent one plus the last ' official paper one' that I got some months back.
What else..
Personal loan:- I sent my last annual statement and original agreement letter. I also phoned up and got my current amount oweing, which I wrote on the bottom with a reference (i.e. 01.03.09 - Spoke to Liz at Tesco Finance - amount confirmed as £xxxx.)
Do not worry too much about these - CCCS/Paypal will contact your creditors and get an up-to-date figure.
Also, if you're sending the originals (which I did), remember to take a copy and if you can afford it, send them by recorded/registered post, which ever is cheaper!
Hope this helps. Just a 'newbie' myself but am passing on what I know!
Best of luck!
