  • I thought is was through dividing amount so everyone got the % with regards to how much debt you have...not actually sure that makes sense to me..nevermind someone else!!

eg, if you have 1 creditor with 50% of your debt..they get 50% of your payment, well thats how mine seems to work anyway,

Does anyone know how CCCS work out how the payment is distributed to your creditors?

    Morning all.

I believe that CCCS work out the % they give each creditor on your contractual payment to them and NOT the balance. I have a loan of 10k with Conractual payment of £117 and an MBNA card of £4800 which CCCS have worked the contracual payment out at 3% - £145 (even though my contractual payment was only ever £25!!) so my loan with the bigger balance is getting LESS than my CC, in fact my CC with MBNA will be getting £15 MORE than what they were asking for B4 my DMP started:mad: -makes me cross but it's the way CCCS work, and I s'pose as I've chosen for them to help sort me out then that's the price I pay, so to speak.
    Enjoy your day
    MD xx

  • Hi I have received my CCCS notification of DMP and CCCS financial statement back from Aqua (one of our creditors) along with a compliment slip, stating they want proof of income. I am self employed and earn about £100 a month profit and so only have books and my husbands most recent wage slips are with CCCS. How should we go about this? My husband is due to be paid on Wednesday, but as he has done overtime this will show on his wage slip, so I am worried they may see him earning more than what is down on the SOA recently sent to them, and then demand more money.

Please help, what should we do?
  • It ok I have rung Aqua and they have received correspondence from CCCS and have accepted the offer, the only thing is they expect the first payment by 5th April, and we are due to pay them on the 1st which I believe gets distributed on 25th oh oh!!

Refer them back to CCCS quoting your CCCS reference number. You do not need to give Aqua anything further as CCCS are acting on your behalf. There are a few other posts on this thread which may explain it a bit better than I have but thats the gist of it! :)

    Morning all,

Hope you all had a good weekend!

Had a nightmare this morning and thought I was going to have to fork out for a new frigde as it was warm!

But luckily I'm pretty sure it's just that the plug fuse went when we had a power cut on sat! Fingers crossed that's all it is coz i really can't afford a new fridge.

Can't remember who said what now but we also have a loan and mortgage with NR and NR loan is on our payplan DMP and they have accepted for 6 months. And not defaulted it! The lady i spoke to about it a couple of weeks ago was very nice and just wanted to ask the reason for our financial difficulties. and said the mortgage would not be affected! phew!

Also i've never been sent these forms by creditors but even if you are I would just refer them to your DMP company and I wouldn't send another separate one and i definitely wouldn't send proof of earnings! Speak to the CCCS or PP if you're not sure tho. But there should be no need to do this. All the information they should need and be able to see will be in your income and expenditure that CCCS send out!

I haven't sent anything at all to my creditors since the first letter. I've left it all up to Payplan. And i also haven't sent the 'stop calling me' letter. I'm getting good at the phonecalls now and dont' mind them. plus i don't get any for me anymore! for some reason it only seems to be my husbands that are still phoning. and they only have our home number and he's not there so that's that!

Also, last thing is i got told to and still do send copies of ALL letters and statements to payplan. I've no idea when i should stop this and whether they get them and think most or all are unnecessry but hey ho! i'd rather that than something be missed coz i hadn't sent it!

Got phonecalls for hubs from both Tesco and Mint on the weekend! don't know what they want from him as mine don't phone anymore. but i don't intend to pass on his number to them!

    Debt at start of DMP (Jan 2009) = 46,147.86 Now = 36,826.98
    DFD = [STRIKE]Jan 2014[/STRIKE] May 2013 ([strike]60[/strike] [STRIKE]52[/STRIKE] 41 payments to go)

  • Quick question, if I was on a DMP (and stood the possible risk of getting defaults) would I be able to take out a mobile phone contract? My existing contract doesnt expire for about 6 months and I would want to just get a cheap deal instead (i.e. the 3 £9 a month one) once this one ends, to cut my outgoings, but am worried I would not be able to get a new contract?

If you intend to do a Dmp now your contracted phone would be part of the plan so the money for the contract would still be there. As to wether you would get the credit for this it depends who you've upset. You'd have to take your chances and get a copy of your credit file from experian or simular nearer the time.

Didnt know if I would be blacklisted? someone said if some of them default me I would be blacklisted for 6 years..I havent a clue how it all works! I assumed if I was blacklisted, no credit (does a mobile phone contract count as credit?) Did you actually change to a different company?
