dlb, my payplan payment went out on the 26th and only showed up yesterday!!
I too check justabank everyday! altho when i tried today it wasn't working properly! probably busy! will try again later to see if any payments from them have gone out!
My last MOT cost £330!!! Was before the dmp and weirdly enough I managed to find the money (not a cc, but it was just after payday, was quite pleased with myself actually). however after that was when I started to realise I had to do something about our finances and that it wasn't working me trying to sort it ourselves!
Morning all, What are plans for the weekend? Filing and more filing??DMP Mutual Support Thread Member No 261Debt at start of DMP (Jan 2009) = 46,147.86 Now = 36,826.98DFD = [STRIKE]Jan 2014[/STRIKE] May 2013 ([strike]60[/strike] [STRIKE]52[/STRIKE] 41 payments to go)NSD:Nov 12/12:jDec 9/10 Jan 5/10Slowly but surely:coffee:0 -

I take it you sent your creditors a cheque for £1? I don't own a cheque book, how do I get these payments to them?
You can send your creditors postal orders for the £1 if you have a post office near by.:j DMP mutual support thread member - 135:j0 -

Dont get hung up on waiting for the payments to get into the justabank account, then get to the creditors.
We watched last month daily and in the end, I contacted PayPal to confirm everything was ok as the standing order had gone out but nothing had been credited.
In the end, it took almost 10 days for it to be shown in just abank, and a further 4 days for it to be shown as "ok" to all the creditors
Did all our filling last night and couldnt get a sharpie pen, so had to use a good old Bic biro.
We now have all corrispondence neatly punched and filled away.
Now were on a roll, I might get another file ready for the bills :jLBM - Oct - 08 DMP Started - Feb -09

working for me today
if I pay off a creditor should I get a balance from them and send it to Payplan? I'm hoping to pay off my TSB OD or a DCA by September0 -
That's good advice 2spicy!! It is quite frustrating coz i just want to see it working and everything seems to take so long!
Are you paying extra to them debrag? Are they actually on your dmp? I'm not sure on this one to be honest, coz all mine are getting is what payplan give them and every single debt i have (apart from debts to parents) are on the plan. Yes you should definitely tell them if they are on the dmp or they'll keep paying to them even once it's cleared (i think they only review and get new balances after 12 months or close to their completion date). But if they're not on it I'm not sure they need to know!DMP Mutual Support Thread Member No 261Debt at start of DMP (Jan 2009) = 46,147.86 Now = 36,826.98DFD = [STRIKE]Jan 2014[/STRIKE] May 2013 ([strike]60[/strike] [STRIKE]52[/STRIKE] 41 payments to go)NSD:Nov 12/12:jDec 9/10 Jan 5/10Slowly but surely:coffee:0 -

Thanks, that's just what I'll do.
I've just been on the CCCS website and agreed to a DMP so looking forward to receiving my welcome pack. Feels like a huge weight has been lifted and I haven't even started yet
The only thing I have to do at the moment is set up a new bank account. My current account is with LLoyds TSB at the moment and I have an old student account with RBS, both of which will be on my DMP. Who should I bank with now? My partner's with HBOS, should I just go with them or can anyone recommend one?Do what you want because in the end people will judge you anyway.0 -

yes they are on my DMP. My OD is £200 which I'm being charged on I think still, one DCA is £193 and another is £439 though on my DMP it's £600 so in 18 months that will be gone also
New balances are near the completion date so they can sort out any interest that has been added so March 2011 for me.
They always say share any extra money out but paying one off wouldn't matter as the others would just start getting more money (and not much at that). £200 split between 9 creditors it nothing0 -
That's sounds fair enough then debrag! i wondered what you did if you got some extra money but not enough to split! unfortunately i didn't need to look into it as i have no extra!!
So yes i think you should definitely tell payplan when paid off!
Rachael, I don't know about cccs but on the payplan site there is a list of what banks are linked to who so you can pick the right one. might be worth having a look. Also my payplan lady told me which ones i could go to! So if you can't find it online might be worth ringing and asking!DMP Mutual Support Thread Member No 261Debt at start of DMP (Jan 2009) = 46,147.86 Now = 36,826.98DFD = [STRIKE]Jan 2014[/STRIKE] May 2013 ([strike]60[/strike] [STRIKE]52[/STRIKE] 41 payments to go)NSD:Nov 12/12:jDec 9/10 Jan 5/10Slowly but surely:coffee:0
