I applied for a Nat West Step account - no overdraft or cheque book - they've agreed in principal. I'd originally gone for the current account plus but decided to go with the most basic - RachelfleurDMP mutual support thread member: 275

Well good day today. We were warned we would be on a 4 day week and were so worried as meant losing £670 a month (DH there too) well they have said orders picked up and all ok,thank god! They also offered 6K to anyone wanting to leave or a sabbatical at 30% pay for a year. Think I will just stick with my job ta. What a relief was dreading it as couldnt have done my DMP otherwise so someone up there is looking after us.
Had 50 million phonecalls mainly MBNA and Nationwide CC but not worried tbh what can they do?
Feeling good today but sure that will dissipate by tomorrow lol

Hi Suze72Hi DMPDarling
It's really great for those of us just starting out to hear such positive stuff.
Just wondering, are you with a DMP company or self administering?
Also, it sounds like you kept writing to your creditors as well as just sending payments - if that is the case how often did you write?
We went with PayPlan in the end as they work out the monthly repayments by amount owed rather than current repayment - we thought this would be more acceptable to some of our creditors.
We wrote initial letters to all our creditors with £1 payments and saved each letter as a word doc in a file just for that creditor with addresses and reference numbers at the top - then whenever we got a reply from a creditor that was not what we wanted to hear, or we got a statement showing interest or charges still being applied, I'd open up that creditors file and paste text from a standard letter template into the middle asking them to please accept the offer / stop interest & charges, save, print and post. It did not take too much effort once it was all set up, and it seems to have worked for the majority of them, although I'm still writing those letters to Barclays and Lloyds. I'm sure we would have still got the same result if we had left it all to PayPlan - but I felt bad to keep calling them up when I know they are so busy, and I liked the feeling of doing something positive and taking control of the situation for the first time.0 -
so has anyone got a loan with TSB or any bank loan really, where the 'terms' on your report aren't what you are paying each month?
Mine says £84 when I'm actually paying £114.780 -

OMG is anyone else having problems with HSBC at the mo!? They are being right idiots with us. Some of you will have seen yesterday that they are threatening all sorts with the final demand they sent. Anyway hubby said to them he'd speak to CCCS and get back to HSBC today. So he has done that and he phoned to say we're having a review on Wednesday and that new paperwork would be sent out then - HSBC said to my husband they couldnt access the account until we paid 2% of the balance!! Do they think we're stupid! Anyway, he said no of course and somehow they can still access the account! Funny that!! x0

Bunnygreen they just make it laughable some claims the creditors make..well done on sticking to your guns...they will try anything to get more money out of you...as soon as they see you are not moving they will come around again.
That is one of the best so far we cant access your account unless you pay us something!!!!! WHATEVER!!!! LOLProud to be DEBT FREE AT LAST0
