bunnygreen wrote: »OMG is anyone else having problems with HSBC at the mo!? They are being right idiots with us. Some of you will have seen yesterday that they are threatening all sorts with the final demand they sent. Anyway hubby said to them he'd speak to CCCS and get back to HSBC today. So he has done that and he phoned to say we're having a review on Wednesday and that new paperwork would be sent out then - HSBC said to my husband they couldnt access the account until we paid 2% of the balance!! Do they think we're stupid! Anyway, he said no of course and somehow they can still access the account! Funny that!! x
Hi Bunnygreen, HSBC are just horrible, try to ignore them....They have been threatening to default our loan for the past 6 months...think they actually may do now but whatever, tbh they can't have what we haven't got.
I know it's annoying but just persist with being polite..ish on the phone repeat CCCS until you are out of breath and then say goodbye!
Don't let them get you down!!REMEMBER...ALWAYS KEEP SMILING!

Hi everyone - end of a long week here. I was feeling despondent this week but have had a tax rebate for the period I was out of work which has improved things! I thought I'd give a update on how our (14!) creditors are dealing with us.
We're starting the DMP on May 1st & have made token (£1) payments to them all for February & March & they will be getting another one in April. We've written to everyone at least twice advising them that I was first unemployed then that I was back in work on a greatly reduced salary & we will be starting a DMP with CCCS & asking them to freeze charges & interest. All payments have been cashed.
NatWest professional study loan - immediate default with threat of legal action, have sent them a SAR
NatWest cc - asked for a I&E - told them they'd get that from CCCS when the plan started, nothing since
Monument cc - have said they'll accept the DMP & freeze interest when it starts :T
MBNA cc - haven't heard anything
Barclays OD - still within OD limit so not expecting to hear from them yet
MBNA cc - have 'passed' us to Aegis without either a default or letter of assignment so we've sent Aegis a harrasment letter (lots of calls) & requested a CCA from MBNA. Will ask for letter of assignment next week
Next - threatened to default us, but then said they'll accept £5 - we've told them they'll only get £1 until the DMP starts otherwise we'd be prioritising them above the other creditors, nothing since
Egg loan - have been awful - constant calls (have sent harrasment letter), finally written to us saying that they haven't recieved any correspondance from us - morons - we have proof of their receipt of our letters. Lots of hot air but nothing else so far. Will request CCA next week.
COOP cc - lots of calls, have sent harrasment letter
Citibank cc - nothing
Barclaycard - nothing
Natwest cc - nothing
Marbles cc - nothing

We're going to sell one of the cars & save as hard as we can to offer F&Fs to our 3 smallest creditors at the end of the year. It would be nice to get a few crossed off.0

Only problems I've had with Electron (Co-Op Cashminder card) is at train stations, and pay at pump petrol stations. No dramas there (unless of course that petrol station is unnattended).
Two letters in the post today, one was a default from HFC bank. I only owe them £130 quid, but there you go. Should be interesting to see what they or the DCA will do to get their money back...DMP mutual support thread No: 2430 -
oh stupid Gatwick wouldn't take my solo but all other train stations do!!!!!0

One more post this week!
Its strange to see how the same creditors treat each person differently, i have the above 3 as crediotrs also but my experiences with them were complately different.
Monument cc straight away sold my debt to Cabot collections who have been fantstic and have accepted dmp payments for last 3 years and offered me 2 full and finals in last yr.
Egg- Have been great since day 1.
Natwest cc- Have been one of the best creditors to deal with for me.
Im wondering if its to do with ballances or if they just change their tactics daily??Proud to be DEBT FREE AT LAST0 -
we have fifteen creditors!:o
