  • Hi Bigmomma

Thanks for the reply, BOS did contact me at the beginning with a positive result that they would deal with the third party, freeze interest etc. (CCCS).

Your quite right about CCCS having so much to deal with at the moment (and touch wood we have not had any problems up to now) and its good that they can do so much without immediate contact.

  • Speaking of filing, I final decided to tackle the unopened bills/ letters that seemed to have accumulated in my desk draw. Didn't open any of them it would have taken too long so decided to shred the lot (at work) and managed to fill the secured waste bin. Oops!! :D

Also am I the only paranoid one. I keep thinking our postie must be wondering why we received so much mail, some days it was 10 or so letters. All marked private and confidential.

  • Hi Again

My son is on first name terms with our postman - so how paranoid am I - but I think hopefully the letters are more noticeable to us than him, anyway at the end of the day what does it matter we are dealing with it!!

  • I think it's because were also on 1st name terms with him, plus his son used to work for my DH. We live in a small community where everyone knows everyone’s business so know doubt if anyone found out we were on a DMP it would be spread throughout the village like wildfire. Not planning on telling anyone not even our family.

    Hi Ollie

I had a phone call from the co op tonight as well. They are trying to get account holders to sign up to ISA's before the end of the month before the new tax year.

    Hi Bunnygreen

Don't worry too much about the letter. I received the same today. When I spoke to them they said it's mandatory since they didn't accept what the CCCS offered. Hopefully they will now pass it on to a debt collecter who is more likely to accept the payment which will also freeze interest and charges ( I was told this over the phone ). Hope this helps

  • Oh Heck don't know howto deal with that one - except don't they have a duty of confidentiallity like some other professions? And believe me we are not planning on telling anyone either especially not family.

  • Hi Rainman

No chance for us then (ISA) but thanks for the reassurance.

    Hi Rainman,

thanks so much for your reply. Hubby has just got off the phone to them and they have been trying to get us to make a payment from our bank account and then to increase the payments. My hubby told them he'd phone CCCS tomorrow and then phone back. HSBC said that if they said we couldn't pay more, they'd transfer us to the next dept which I hope means they will accept the payment. I had a go at him about it as I know we can't increase our payments and CCCS are just gonna say the same and that we can't treat individual creditors differently. It's so hard as I know he is doing his best and it must be horrible to have to take that phone call. He gets all worked up - it's not his thing, I usually do this sort of thing but they refuse to speak to me! I hate that we're arguing about it. I just hope if he phones back tomorrow that they do put us through and they sort us out ok.

    It's all so worrying! x
