Personally I'd phone CCCS and tell/ask them!! Then pass the letter on to them to deal with!DMP Mutual Support Thread Member No 261Debt at start of DMP (Jan 2009) = 46,147.86 Now = 36,826.98DFD = [STRIKE]Jan 2014[/STRIKE] May 2013 ([strike]60[/strike] [STRIKE]52[/STRIKE] 41 payments to go)NSD:Nov 12/12:jDec 9/10 Jan 5/10Slowly but surely:coffee:0 -
I havent took out the cover with payplan mainly due to the fact i have just over 2 years left until dfd but if i was just starting out i would consider it...but again its less to your creditors.

hi i posted on another thread as am worried about northern rock and was advised to come on here. Has anyone got any experience with NR good experience of them accepting a plan or do they totally not accept dmps and getting really worried about it all.
They sent me a letter saying I was now in arrears and to contact them - I have sent them a letter and a token payment so i was going to call them to advise them on what i am doing to keep communication open - do you think this is the right thing to do? It is so new and I am scared,0 -
Hi had a nice letter in regards to my NR loan they said Thank you for the token payment and when they are contacted from Payplan they will put wheels in action to start the DMP,gave me my balance but then came the,you are in arrears of such amount you MUST pay this as an additional payment to the token payment until the DMP is up and running. Is this so?
daffy-Was it you who asked how to change the income amount?
Well on the Justabank your budget,if you click on your income it will let you change it!

Hi jaapie, I have a loan with NR, at the beginning had non-stop calls (about 2 months in), but once my DMP company sent my first payment, I got a letter from them accepting reduced payment for 6 months and thus far almost 2 years later, (started on Oct '07) NR still have stopped interest and is still accepting payments. Try not to worry so much, easier said than done I know!
I've also got a mortgage and don't want them to go down the CO route, but really can't second guess them, as long as you keep up the payments once it's agreed and if possible top it up by a couple of £'s when you have your review it seems to keep them happy, as least in my case this is the case, can't speak for others with NR.
Good luck and keep posting on here for excellent support.

thanks for support I had a letter today from NR saying I was in arrears so called them to say I had sent token payments and was going onto a DMP and they were fine the woman told me I am doing the right thing and to keep communicating and sending token payments until the plan is up and runningand to call when i got letters. She said if I did this everything will be fine and not to bury my head in the sand basically. I do feel better and mummum2 you are right I cannot second guess anyone. This is the right thing to do for us and I have to be strong - yesterday I was in a bad place I just know I cannot hide from this, thank you for your support0

Jaapie - Just to confirm what others have stated, I have a large loan with NR. They grumbled for a bit, and when I did answer the phone to them, and queried why I was in this position. I told the truth (sort of) and they said fine, we've accepted payments for so many months. I know they have got bad press recently (rightly or wrongly), and others may not be in the same position!DMP mutual support thread No: 2430
