It'll be the first party in ALOT of years that i havent had to worry about where the money was coming from ....or wonder if we had a spare bottle of something in the house so i didnt have to fork out for a present:rotfl: !!!! How awful is that...but at the time it was a needs must!!!!!DMP Support Member 254. I am raging tonight!! MBNA YOU TOS:mad: RS!!
Had a letter today from Debt Clear Recoveries & Investigations Ltd saying that MBNA have passed OH debt to them and whilst the account is with them they will not charge any fees or interest. Oh cheers! Last paragraph reads if we play nice then they won't take further action! oh really?
I wouldn't mind so much with the account being passed on but MBNA know we are on to them with the ppi claim and I sent a SAR to them on 9th February so time is ticking. So how can they pass the account on? They are just trying to fob us off
I have just googled this company and not much seems to come up anywhere apart from the CAG forum but I found out they are connected to MBNA so I gather its an inhouse collector  Why make out you are a different company, you ain't getting no more cash so fluff offarghhhhhh!!!!
I think I need to get to the Post Office for a few £1 postal ordersCCA requests and letter of complaint to MBNA coming up and I'm not writing to Gail Powell either she don't even reply the lazy sod!
God I wish I had a fag!
Rant over..............:pDMP support thread member 211 :cool:I'm only here to get some medals......honest!0 -
Maybe I will bring my hole punch and they could hook up?!;)
I'll have you know that my file is a very nice file and won't hook up with just any old hole punch :rotfl:It's WH Smith at the least... just because we are skint don't mean we are lowering our standards
I've just been typing up some letters to reclaim credit card charges from MBNA and Halifax. Comes to about £850 in total with the interest added. I know that even if I'm lucky enough to get the money back that it will just come off the amount I owe them but at least it may bring down my DFD.
Also it gives me something else to hole punch and file.... oh I'm all a quiver just thinking of it! :rotfl::TLight Bulb Moment 4th January 2009 :eek:Started DMP 1st April 2009 :ADMP mutual support thread member: 267 :j0 -

My contact has been from RMA who are part of MBNA... don't tell me they've got another alias as well. They are right sneaky so and so's aren't they? On the other had when I wrote to them asking for details of my CC charges over the last six years they returned my cheque to cover the SAR. Strange company....
Who is Gail Powell? Should I dislike her on your behalf? :rotfl:Light Bulb Moment 4th January 2009 :eek:Started DMP 1st April 2009 :ADMP mutual support thread member: 267 :j0 -

Let me reassure you that my hole punch is a very respectable Jarrolds of Norwich stationary hole punch. :rotfl: Has good manners and is very polite....
I've just tracked my first token payments on the royal mail website and 2 of them have been delivered and the other two are still at the post office allegedly!!!!!!!!
Why is that???????!!!!!!!
Sorry you are having such a nightmare Toffee Penny. MBNA don't seem to be generally very helpful and seem to just try and make things difficult! Don't give up; keep at em and they will finally give in!!!Proud to be dealing with my debts

Stolli, how is file? Started thinking about it at work today and got the giggles, tried to explain and needless to say everyone thought had lost the plot...Sadly, have a half made up "Ode to my lever arch file"whizzing around my head, may get first reading at April party(she threatened!);) x
Still not heard anything from any creditors, just email from cap one re my online statement and missed calls from 0800 numbers-think will be MBNA. Just sitting tight at the mo,must admit just want to get the first letters out of the way xDMP Mutual Support Thread member no.2490 -
He he... can't wait to hear the ode...
The file is here at the moment spread eagled on the sofa awaiting some more letters to be loving filed... ahhhhh who said life was boring???Light Bulb Moment 4th January 2009 :eek:Started DMP 1st April 2009 :ADMP mutual support thread member: 267 :j0 -
Gail Powell is the Vice President of MBNA  But she's too busy to acknowledge letters asking for £1000s of ppi to be refunded
When we wrote the initial letter to MBNA, she was the one to reply. But she gets slated if MBNA do something wrong just like Anne does from Barclaycard. :rotfl:
RMA? Yes thats Risk Managemnet Alternatives, we had letters from there before and we just ignored them as we just started out on our DMP and just kept paying MBNA. We had a letter a while back offering a settlement for the debt but we didn't have the money unfortunately otherwise we would have jumped at the chance to get shot. I just didn't recognise 'Debt Clear' and it seems they are connected someway to MBNA.
I always thought you should have some kind of confirmation from the original creditor to let you know the debt has been passed on. I would have thought it would be general decency to avoid confusion at this stage.Obviously they don't give a damn!

Toffee,Stolli,Jen-I feel so much better prepared when I read your posts. At least when I get letters from all these companies I will have an idea of who they are. Am constantly reminded of what a fab thread this is-thankyou x:ADMP Mutual Support Thread member no.2490

I'm pretty sure I read on here that the original creditor has to give notice that they've passed the debt on? Unless you ask Debt Clear for the CCA? Although I'm not sure what order you do this in.....Light Bulb Moment 4th January 2009 :eek:Started DMP 1st April 2009 :ADMP mutual support thread member: 267 :j0
