I havent had time to catch up on the posts for today but i will in a bit but i just had to post...Natwest CC and Loan have rejected our DMP payments...I am gutted as combined Natwest is our biggest creditor (o/d as well) and i really wanted them more than anyone else to come on board. CCCS assure me its nothing to worry about and it will prob go to DCA as they have already issued defaults and they will then most likely freeze interest but they dont know how long this might take and all i can think of is the interest going up and up in the meantime...strangely though we've had not a single collections call from Natwest.....god i feel deflated i just want to scream!!! Anyway rant over....off to sort out tea and get the little one to bed then i'll catch up....
thanks for reading xxxDMP Support Member 254. LBM 20/1/2009DMP though CCCS starting 01.04.2009Debt Free date March 2015 but would love to be there for OH's 40th in 2014.0 -
msc1977 NatWest are one of our major creditors too (loan & two credit cards), they've just defaulted us on the loan after one token payment only - we haven't had any calls from them either. All we can do is just keep paying what we can afford.
I'm about to send NW a SAR on the loan account, also Egg & COOP harassment letters, CCA MBNA (Aegis are calling constantly - will send them a harassment letter too) and I'm still waiting for a bloody payslip from the new job so we can get the DMP started.0 -
Hi nightporter
Thanks for your response, we have also made one token payment (second went in the post on sunday) and have also received default notices from them...i was pleased to get those as i thought it was a good indication they would accept the DMP but nevermind..hubby has just said the old 'we cant pay what we cant afford' and we'll just make the payments and at the end of the day as i understand it the worst they can do is apply for a charging order ..but we have little or no equity and dont intend to move so i'm hoping that wouldnt cause too many problems...i just feel a little deflated as i had such high hopes they would come on board from other threads and posts....oh well i still have my health and my family so it could be worse:-)DMP Support Member 254. just feel a little deflated ....
Me tooIt is so stressful.
The account they've defaulted us on is my wife's (the mortgage is in my name only) but I still worry about CCJs & COs - we have a little equity still (will no doubt go down  ) & don't intend to move but it is still pretty scary.0 -

Honestly guys...don't stress, NW took me to court, they were our biggest creditor and I panicked!!!!
I got there, it took 5 mins, the woman from NW listened to our situation reassured me they very veryrarely push for your house to be sold etc etc, informed me that if they do put a charge on your property, all it is is a peice of paper, and that technically you can stop paying them anything once that is in place....(leaving more for other creditors if it works out better for you!!!)
and I havent heard a thing since then, offer was accepted in court and I chain smoked my way home from relief!! Not as scared now I have got my second!
PLEASE DON'T PANIC>>>IT ISN'T WORTH THE SLEEPLESS NIGHTS>>PROMISE!!!REMEMBER...ALWAYS KEEP SMILING!
you can win if you want it enough0 -
