  • Hi dlb,

I've now finished my cream eggs and got myself a glass of wine!! Do you think maybe I'm overly susceptible to the power of suggestion??

I bought a job lot from the Post office and just filled in all the details myself. I didn't want to put the poor lady at the counter through having to fill out £1 POs for my million creditors!! (well 10 but feels like a million :D )

    thanks fullhouse,
I have one last question if you don't mind....
Did you send your postal orders by recorded post and is it advisable to do that to ensure they are received?

I personally did just to be sure, but I don't think it's definatley necessary (obviously adds to the cost) as I think you can track them to check if cashed. I will be sending my second lot normal post, but the first lot I sent together with letters re financial hardship etc. so definatley wanted cast iron proof of receipt so creditors couldn't accuse me of not contacting them (as if they would dosuch an underhand thing!! )

    Fullhouse,
They are all going to start ducking when they see me at the post office...The poor man typed all my GBP1( my pound symbol is not working!!) 1 with cc name my name and number......I kind of made it out as if I was doing it for someone else...by saying " SHE wants this on this one!!":p

    Jenevieve,
I found this good, because then each receipt then shows all the typed out details.....making it a cheaper form of receipt than special delivery!

    Hope

HOPE,re bank a/c, have opened mine with the co-op,they're pretty quick and had my welcome pack within about 3 working days. Good luck this time, am sure all will be fine x

    Thanks alot Penny.
I think I will give them a call tomorrow as I am not sure if I clicked overdraft or not (old automatic habits!), and can not seem to retrieve my application from the link they sent to check? Did you get cheque book?
Worried about how I am going to live without any overdraft:eek: .
but I know it will be a good thing in strange way..... Its just gonna be a NEW way of living.
DLB you inspire me to think this way, as no matter what I think I was doing, I was not living at all. A slave to my debts.

    Hope

Just another quick example of how a dmp has help me...before the dmp i couldnt afford to put electric in the metre never mind join a weight loss club...but now here i am 3 stones lighter almost at target, just wish the debt fell off as easily as my weight has!!!

The little changes make a huge difference...and it goes to show you can start to tackle anything once you face the debts!!

    Hi DLB,
You are welcome re my PM yesterday:D

Through all the stress and strain of my debts over the years I have lost 2 dress sizes, from a size 12/10 to a size 8. I am hoping that I can regain the weight and shed the debt!!!

    Hope
