  • Hi all, im new to the thread of which ive been lurking around for the last few days ;)

Im about to embark on my DMP with cccs which is due to start April 1st, im feelin quite relaxed about the situation having read this thread and look forward to getting rid of the debt ive got myself in

Ive got a big loan and a CC to pay off through Natwest followed by another CC with Aqua finance. Just a question, when issueing token payments by postal order to Natwest can the 2 token payments be sent in the same envelope to Natwest or do they have to be sent seperatly to the CC department and the loan department and do you have to put your own name on the postal cheque.....baring in mind ive also issued a template letter to Natwest that will go in with the token payment, with details of myself and that i plan to start a DMP with cccs?

Im ready to tackle all the creditors phone calls/letters you name it, ive got a new account open so it's all systems go.

    Thanks in advance:beer: kissthedebtgoodbye

    Hello all,
Like MD i'm back at work after a lengthy period off sick and then HT with the little one so only get logged on at night and this thread is so active it takes some keeping up!

Well our DMP pack from CCCS came today they have put first payment as March despite me asking for April but a quick phone call has sorted that out. Its good to see in black and white the amount that will be going to our creditors each month, in some cases the like catalouges where the debt is small the difference between oue DMP amount and our actual minimum payment is only a couple of pounds so i really hope they accept them. not sure how Natwest will be about £100 instead of £365 for our loan!!!!

Welcome again to the newbies, thanks to Ianmak for my 254 number .....keep posting everyone we'll get through this together.

    hi there

i sent my natwest cc and loan payments seperately as they are registered at different addresses - i think loans are Bristol and CC's southend on sea. I'm sure with the right account details they will get to the right place wherever in NW you send them, it might just take a bit longer.

  • Right - I have just transferred two thirds of my wages from my Alliance & Leicester account into my new Citibank account. The rest will cover this months DDs plus some leftover that I will withdraw from a cash machine.

Still feel nervous about sending of the token payments though. Can I send the token payments by cheque or do you have to use postal orders?

Thanks to Rachel and Donna and all the others who offered such welcoming support last night. Your experiences are so valuable and the support is so amazing - thank you.:A

    Good eve R & B:D

I would send it to the address in Canada Square, the Camberley address is where they process the credit card payments, it's not even HSBC at that address!

Good evening to all the other DMP'ers,:j

I've been a bit quiet on here recently as back to work and running kids here there and everywhere. I do try to catch up on the thread everyday, and am always wondering what my 'virtual' mates have been chatting about!:A

Still feeling positive, so that's good.

    Take care and keep posting.

IANMAK  - you're a superstar, thanks for the number 255, I wouldn't be surprised if that's the amount of months it'll take me to get Debt Free!?! :( (I'll work it out and let you know.)

Hi MD - chuffed to hear you are still smiling, i'm actually quite looking forward to getting paid at the end of the month and managing our budget. We didnt do too well for Feb on groceries and had to dip into our emergency fund - purely bad planning on my part and we've amended our CCCS figures now. Even though we dont start paying them till April 1st i'm trying to train myself (and hubby) to live on a budget - practising for April i guess you could say:D

    Keep smiling xxxx

  • Hey everyone, just got a letter from Egg threatening to default us (DMP is due to start on May 1st - they've had one token payment & are due two more before the plan starts - unfortunately being out of work for a month has delayed everything) unless we cough up some money in the next 48 hours!

ATM I'm just intending to send the next token payment (they cashed the last one but are ignoring the fact we've told them about the DMP) reminding them we're starting the DMP & also requesting that they contact us only in writing ... and see what they do next.

    Hi All
we really need to go onto a dmp but my dh is not keen due to the fact that he took a cc card out for his sister and also has a bank account for her in his name. Where would we stand with regards to this?
Thanks in advance for your help x

thenightporter - Egg defaulted me pretty much straight away after starting the DMP and not heard a peep from them since. Not sure if that's good or not...

Quillion - The debt is still yours (or rather dh's), personally I'd get the sister to pay off her debts or add it to the DMP! Else transfer the details over to her (unless not possible of course), not sure about the bank account though, depends on if you have any debt with the same company...

    Can anyone else help?
