Tetley from what i have been reading about cca (not to sure how it all works) if they cant provide you with the original then this debt will be uninforcable?
There is a thread on the dfw boards about the cca claiming and they may have better advise for you over there.
Most companys offer a full and final which is a lower % of the debt to clear it but if you did decided to do this make sure you get it in writing before you pay anything
And as for balcklisting im sure if you settle they have to mark your credit file as settled?
Good luck

Hello all, well I'm still swithering re repayment plans/DMP/Payplan.
My main (amongst many) issue is my loan with Northern Rock. I am VERY worried becuase I understand they always go for charging orders - can they do this even though the loan isn't secured?
I swing between:
1 Paying the minimun on everything else (still a struggle) and then going to Payplan when the NR Loan finishes in 01/08/14
2 Trying to sort out payment arrangements with everyone else and throwing everything spare at NR
3 Going on a DMP with Payplan and thinking 'sod em, I don't have the cash'
3 is my preferred option but I am terrified of a charging order. DH doesn't know (long story, many problems over the years including mental health issues) so I am verry very scared right now.
Thanks for listening, I like posting on this thread cos everyone is so nice and non-judgemental - I'm not proud of it but I am where I am, just trying to cope with it all. Its good not to feel so alone.

Afternoon all, not been around for a while so will try to catch up in a minute. Quick question first though. I'm preparing my token payments for my HSBC loan and Credit card, should I send them both to the payment address I've got in Camberley or to the main address in Canada Square, London?
Hope you are all well.

Speak to PayPlan / CCCS Personally, OPtion 3 for me in that position would be the only one I would considder.
At the end of the day if you aint got it, They cannot have it. as long as you have food / utilities / accomodation, everyone else can waitLBM - Oct - 08 DMP Started - Feb -09

Thanks, 90% I think that too, but the other 10% of the time (usually at 3am when I can't sleep) I'm just terrified of a charging order.
Does anyone else have any experience of NR Loans?

I have a 15k loan with NR, they accepted my payment for so many months (8 months I think) (It was a fifth of what I normally paid), I've just doubled this payment due to promotion and payrise, which hopefully should keep them happy!DMP mutual support thread No: 2430

Really? Thats encouraging, on a pro-rata I will be able to offer about half of what I pay now, but will try to increase (although real life might get in the way).
Thanks very much for letting me know, I thought thet automatically went for a charging order.
Can I ask - are you with Payplan/CCCS or are you doing it yourself?
I love this site!
