Wendym, thanks so much I am inspired. Final decision is it will be Curry Queen's microwaved syrup sponge pudding as found on the recipe index
.
Been naughty and missed breakfast so I can make room for this, I am very hungry now0 -
I might even have inspired myself!
I need to experiment with small quantities, although when I make bread and butter pudding, enough for a family mysteriously disappears.0 -
I've got a sudden craving for something sweet but rather than do my usual rush down the shops to buy junk food I want to know if there's anything I make instead. Something sticky, gooey and instantly produced would hit the spot
but open to suggestions
Oh yeah nearly forgot, I've got some baking stuff in, flour, sugar, butter, dried fruit, cocoa powder, coconut, tinned fruit, syrup etc, but NO eggs!!
I trust you guys will come up with something! :A0 -
i'd find you a recipe but my internet seems to be running at snails pace tonight  anyway.. try a search for vegan stuff
from your list i'd say brownies are on the menu
You can make a batch of brownies from flour, oil, cocoa powder and sugar.. not the healthies thing in the world but i dare ya not to eat the batter uncooked

I've got some cold custard (proper stuff) in the fridge left over from last night. We're off round to mother in laws tonight so these might be nice to take round with the custard.
HOWEVER...
I'm a bit thick when it comes to following recipes and am easily confused. Could some talk me round this bit (the part in bold):Mix until just smooth, then spoon into the baking dish.
Mix together
4 tbsp cocoa
1 cup soft brown sugar(light or dark)
Sprinkle over batter in dish.
Pour over all 1 1/2 cups of just-boiled water - DO NOT STIR
Bake for 40 mins at 180c
Does that mean tip 1 1/2 cups of boiling water on the mixture in the baking dish? Shurely not mish moneypenny.SIMPLE SIMON - Met a pie man going to the fair. Said Simple Simon to the pie man, "What have you got there?" Said the pie man unto Simon, "Pies, you simpleton!"0 -

Yup, it means exactly that
It's one of those magic recipes where the water/sugar/chocolate sinks to the bottom to make a luvverly fudge sauce
It's one of the nicest puds I've tried in a long time, thanks thriftlady, and hit just the spot for my cravings last night0
