Hi everyone
Tiff - my thoughts have been with you for the past few days and whilst I am so sorry for your loss and the pain and grief you are going through at the moment, I am so glad you have found the strength to share it with us, as I am sure that so many others have been thinking of you too and wondering how you are coping. I do hope that putting pen to paper (or fingers to keyboard) and producing the Tiff Chronicles in the past few days has been therapeutic for you, and I can only say that, having brought tears streaming down my cheeks, it is a fitting tribute to your mum.
I've been quiet for a few days as there seems to be have been alot of other stuff going on for other people and I didn't want to hog the thread. I think it is a real shame that there are people who feel that this thread is not providing what it should and I think Savvy Sue is right to keep reminding us that by the nature of mental illness, it is very easy for us all to feel that we are being criticised, or to take offense when none is intended or to find change difficult to deal with.
I am NOT taking anyone's side here - I feel that as it stands the thread is a valuable resource for all, and I do hope that no-one feels that I am overstepping the mark here as I have not been involved in the thread since it began and I tend to only dip in and out of the thread when my depressions are bad.
In my opinion, the support and value of the thread comes from knowing that there is somewhere I can post how I feel - it doesn't really matter whether I get a response (although if I do, it does really help), the important thing is that, for me, this thread is a way of getting my feelings out, which I don't really have any other way of doing otherwise, as I have no close family and live alone, and the nature of my illness means that I tend to avoid contact with people.
I do worry that this thread will get closed - that's been part of the reason for my dipping in and out of the thread in the past - it's been suddenly closed and I didn't realise it had started again, I thought it was gone for good. Even though I may not post that often, or follow the thread that regularly, the HUGE importance of it for me is that if and when I need it, it is there.
Please don't take this post as a lecture - I just wanted people to know how important this thread is to me, and I feel very priviledged to be part of the lives of people for whom I have enormous respect, even despite our anonymity. The independent woman's checklist for success :1. I wasn't planning on posting on this thread anymore but after reading Tiff's post I couldn't just read and run. She's given so many of us support when we've had problems/feeling low e.t.c and now it's our time to do the same for her.
Tiff I am so sorry to hear about your Mum (((HUGS))) What a fighter she was. You and your Mum had such a wonderful relationship and I've loved reading about it. I'm glad you felt able to share such personal moments with us. Your Mum was an amazing person and even in her last few moments she was still thinking of you all and wanting you all to be OK. I'm glad you were able to spend a few moments with her by yourself and could ask your question.
Please take care of yourself Tiff and if there is anything any of us can do just shout.
I found this on the internet the other day and it seems appropriate to postGod saw you were getting tired and a cure was not to be.
So He put his arms around you and whispered, "Come to Me."
With tearful eyes we watched you, and saw you pass away. Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay.
A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands to rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us;
He Only Takes The Best.
You are in my thoughts.
Lots of love xxx-->♥<-- Sugar Coated Owl -->♥<--

That is lovely, Razorblade, and is a very fitting poem in the circumstances. Thanks for posting it.
I hope you don't leave this thread - I hate to think some people are causing others to leave.0 -

How about a kiss and make up session?
I don't believe I made anything up and just by clicking on random pages of the depression threads I can see truth in what I wrote. There is a big difference in having an interest in something and having an interest that also has a financial benefit. I thought the whole point of this thread was for people to vent and offer support. Tbh removing myself from the thread was a difficult decision to make but I chose to do so to try and avoid any further conflict.
Many people here are happy with the thread and that is fine. I don't want anyone to stop posting or for it to be closed. This thread is amazing and I have received a lot of support from many people. I hope it can continue to do the same.
One last thing, new posters are very much welcome here.-->♥<-- Sugar Coated Owl -->♥<--
