Adding someone to the Buddy / Ignore list
You can add someone to your Buddy list or Ignore list by clicking on User CP in the bar near the top of every page:
Then you will be able to add or remove users from the lists.
An alternative way is to click on a user's name when viewing one of their posts:
Then you can click the Add to Your Buddy List link or Click click to View Public Profile then the appropriate link:
Note
No other user will know who is on your Buddy / Ignore lists – including the user you have added

Buddy List
If you go to Quick Links and select Open Buddy List, a small window will appear with your buddies listed:
You can send the same Private Message to up to 5 of your buddies simultaneously by ticking the box next to their name and clicking PM Users
NOTE: Only one Buddy List window will open at a time. If you click Open Buddy List and it has no effect, it usually means you already have the buddy list open and it has been minimized or hidden behind another window.
By clicking on the
, you can see the User Profile for your buddy and thus see what they are doing right now:
Only receive PMs from people on your Buddy List
You can choose to only receive Private Messages from members on your buddy list by ticking the appropriate box on your Options page:

IGNORE LISTIf you add a user to your Ignore List, you will no longer see that user's posts:
Notes
You will still be able to see any of the user’s posts by clicking View Post (see above)
You cannot put Admins or Board Guides on your Ignore List
You will not receive Private Messages from a user on your ignore list.
The user will not be aware that PMs are not being received by you.
