So sorry for the loss of your mum,it was lovely that you managed to ask that question and recieve a reply so many of us do not get that chance.Deep in our hearts we know the answer but to actualy here it from your mums lips must be a great comfort .You did everything you could possibly do for your mum and now is the time to look after Tiff, try and catch up on the sleep you missed and please try to eat even if you do not feel like it.Maybe your brother could do a supermarket shop for you if he has transport he did say to ask if there was anything he could do so do not be to proud to ask.

Those we love remain with us
For love itself lives on,
And cherished memories never fade
Because a loved one's gone.
Those we love can never be
More than a thought apart,
Far as long as there is memory,
They'll live on in the heart.

Tiff, I have read your posts and my thoughts are with you. I find it hard to know what to say when people around me suffer a bereavement, with a worry that I may somehow say the "wrong" thing. What I am trying not very eloquently to say is that I am very sorry for your loss xxx

I also wanted to say I am sorry for posting or starting anything that may have caused bad feeling. When I posted the post that got deleted, I wasn't thinking so much of the content but more how I could get some advice to ease the anxieties and worries I have been feeling over the more and more imminent birth of baby, which feel ever more suffocating and all-consuming day-to-day.

So am sending my apologies to all xxx

Well done you for taking the removal of your post so well. When I saw that Savvy Sue had removed some posts, my first thought was "OMG! Has she removed mine?" She hadn't but it has made me give some thought about to how I would have reacted if she had. And to be honest, there's a good chance I would have reacted quite badly, simply because I would have seen it as evidence of my badness, or evidence that I'm causing trouble etc. And that's a major symptom of depression - seeing everything negatively, assuming that your contribution has no value, and that everything you do is wrong. And that's what I'm going to try to remember in future - it's not me, it's a symptom of my illness.

Good luck with the rest of the pregnancy. I've never had kids but I think if I had, I would be wanting morphine, epidural, alcohol, gas and air, CBT, NLP, reflexology, reiki, massage, and hypnosis all at the same time, ideally with a general anaesthetic thrown in for good measure. Not that I want to put you off or anything... ;)

Drat, I wrote a long and reasoned post, which I didn't really have time to do, then got logged out while trying to submit it! But thank you for that, it's very true.

So, a brief summary: posts may be deleted by me or Glad, or by the Forum Team, but when that happens, it's NOT a comment on the person who posted it, nor even on the usefulness of their contribution, simply a reflection that if you want the thread to stay open, it has to stay within quite narrow limits (see Glad's first post).

When a bunch of 'prickly' posts gets deleted, it may be that we (me, Glad or the Forum Team) miss earlier posts which gave rise to the prickliness. But you can do what you'd do for ANY post you're not happy with: report it to abuse@moneysavingexpert.com. Likewise if you're not happy with any post by me or by Glad.

If you've got questions about what's been deleted or why, this is NOT the place to start a discussion about it.

Now, at the risk of appearing heavy-handed, I'd like to draw a line under this, and move on.
Signature removed for peace of mind

• If anyone needs cheering up, there is a truly inspiring film on BBC1 right now, the Horse Whisperer. It started about an hour ago but is on till 6pm. Awesome scenery and very thought provoking messages about the depths of inner strength and the power of belief.

Oh, and another hour and half of Robert Redford...

• Following on from previous post, quote from above film -
New yorker 13 yr old girl to similar age montana ranch boy "Why do you always wear that hat?"
His response "Cos it fits my head".

I laughed out loud - made the dog jump in surprise.
