Anyone know where they've got Garmins in the London area (ideally NW London?)

I would really like one :D

Always glad to help a busker, ;)

There is a Kwiksave about a third of a mile north of the North Circular in Palmers green, unfortunately no phone no.

PS afaik the only one in London so not many peeps will know they would have had stock, prices scan same as Somerfield. None south of river, next nearest Bletchly, then Northampton or Swindon[/size]

    Hi

I set up my garmin i3 with the camera great.
Only problem is it bongs quite early, how do I change the bong distance?
Also can I switch the bongs off without affecting the directions?

Finally, my garmin does not print the inst at the top of the screen which I think it should . Mine says "nw along x road", rather than "go 1 mile then turn right". anyone know how to change this, is it a setting?

    thanks

The bonging also kwickly becomes annoying if the road has a speed limit and your exceeding it by 1 mph - slows you down though.

When you load the POI, click manual settings and you can change the distances and speed that you want it to alert you. I halfed all the distances and i think i managed to disable the bit that beeps wen you are 3mph over the limits.

have a fiddle with the manual settings and it should be ok.

If anyone sees any of the PDAs in the South Yorkshire/Derbyshire/Notts area or thereabouts please let me know, I'd love one but I've come to this post a bit late after being on holiday. I've tried the Somerfields and Kwik Saves in Sheffield to no avail. Tried Buxton after 4richa4pora's lead a couple of days ago but they'd also sold out. :(

Sorry, i should have made it clearer. The settings are not on the Garmin unit itself.

Plug the Garmin into your computer, load up POI loader and browse to your speed camera POI files. Then there will be a drop down box that says something like "Express" or "Manual". Select manual and it will take you through the settings for each type of camera. So for gatso 20, you can 100 ft, for gatso 70 you can have 1500 ft etc. I havent got my Garmin with me at the moment so the above is just off the top of my head but i think its right.
  • For anyone looking for the Garmin i3 they had a couple at Somerfields in Watford yesterday (V8 maps too).

Does anyone know where they still have stock of the Medion 150 Micromaxx?

    Thanks
