The Garmin is just a penknife...a PDA is a swiss army knife..

judging by this thread you are saying a penknife is something that everyone can use and is fairly simple to operate, a swiss army knife is jam packed with gadgets that people have no idea what they are or what they are for, but their perception is it must be better than the penknife even though they now have a heavier penknife....?

I plan to look for one of these at lunch, but a couple of questions...

Can anbody tell me the screen resolution of the PDA?

And also is the GPS antenna detachable?

    I agree with that statement

If you just want Sat Nav then go for the Garmin, however I couldnt warrant spending that much money on something i wont use very often (mainly in summer) so I paid more for the PDA for its 'extra' features.
