A word of warning:
While the Speed Camera POI is very useful it is *not* a complete guard against getting caught on a speed camera. Any road that has the Speed Camera warning signs can also have one of the mobile Speed Camera units on it.
For anyone who hasn't seen one, these are simply a white van with the speed camera sign in black on the side. They park up by the side of the road, open their back doors and turn on the camera. Et viola, instant, unmapped speed camera.
Get these all the time where I am - even on a road that already has more than 5 stationary cameras!0 -

Ok, can I just get this all clear in my mind before I purchase.
At Somerfield you can buy a PocketPC SatNav PDA for £129.99, approximately half the price you can get it elsewhere. This has been referred to as the 'Medion, the 'Mio 168' and the 'Micromaxx MDPPC150' in this thread, but I think they are all the same thing?
The PDA comes with Navigator 5.0 software, as well as Windows Mobile 2003. Even after reading the entire thread I am still not sure if it comes with European Maps, but these can be purchased from the website for £69.99.
Can someone please confirm if France maps are included in the box?
However, if you want TomTom software, this can be bought for £150 from Amazon and includes European maps.
Am I right in thinking all of the above? Thanks.Tesco Deals Vouchers : £1500 in deals used towards Florida 2010 honeymoon and £318 towards Wedding rings in Goldsmiths - Thanks to all Tesco points savers who helped me along the way! :beer:0 -
The PocketPC (MDPPC150/Mio 168) comes with Great Britain and Ireland maps only.
