Court today with one of my favouritest judges - well they're all nice really - i'm still training though so it's exhausting. I'm leaving a bit late today though as i want to meet dgs(4) on his way to school - he has made me a calendar for my desk. we took him to see "Fa*ter Christmas" on Sunday. when asked if he'd been good he thought about it for a long time before replying "errm ...... well ..... yes ..... I think so actually"

Hi Pam = sorry you've not been feeling too good. Hope you get better very soon. For DD's waistcoat, perhaps you could find a cardigan her size in a charity shop and just cut the sleeves out?

Good morning all. Hopefully today will be more OS than yesterday ended up being. Seems between running errands and all, not much got done except tidying and making our tea.
Must wrap the pressies I have for DH today. The summer of 2007, the dear man at the table top sale I go to each week gave me two huge rolls of Christmas wrapping paper for nothing. Still working on using those up this year. Guess that would be frugal if not OS.:rotfl:
I'm making up the pastry for my mince pies today as it also went by the wayside yesterday. I plan on doing that first thing this morning so it has plenty of time to chill. Rolls out much nicer then.
Tea tonight will be a mince, potato and onion pie. Since I'm making the pastry for the mince pies, may as well make a bit extra. Still shopping from my freezer and pantry. I did have to pick up a few small things yesterday yet I've managed to keep our grocery budget very low this month. Come January I'll need to do a big shop to restock.
I ordered the last Christmas gift online yesterday. A marvelous cookbook one of my daughters has had her eye one. Praying and crossing fingers it is delivered this week. With the possible postage strike for the 19th, it will be cutting it close.
I've been bad lately about putting things on my to do list at www.rememberthemilk.com I love that site, makes it much easier for distractable me to make sure things are done when they need to be.
Off to make the pastry and possibly make up some cookie dough. DH loves my choc chip and coconut cookies and has been hinting strongly he'd love some to take with his lunch.
Great big hugs :grouphug: for those feeling poorly. Sending cyber chicken soup and echinacea/raspberry tea to you.
:grouphug: for those who want and need them today.
Leaving with a thought for the day...

Hmm, still lots of peeps with colds etc. DS is recovering and seems happier...he would, he has his Morris Dancing side dinner tonight. I have offered to chauffeur 2 of the adults as well, as they are always very obliging taking ds places when we don't go. Then they can have a drink safely.
OS here, well, we'll be using up the soup from Sunday again tonight, that should see the back of it then. Fortunately my family doesn't mind the same thing a couple of days running. In their view, if the food was good to start with it means you get good leftovers!
To work for 3/4 lessons today and will dish out my birthday cookies (that I made last night) to the students and also Christmas cards made yesterday.
Here? Need to do the ironing, clear the fridge and see what else needs using up before Christmas. Can't work out why I bought so many yoghurts! Now there is cake in the house for the weekend they don't bother with the yoghurts!
Have a good day folks."Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"
