Many thanks guys but the flash drive port is not working and what key do I press to log in at safe mode.I know its F something not sure now, so that I can try that and download the malware bytesYou can't keep a good man down...0

How do I download to CD?
I right clicked on the icon on my working laptop and clicked send to cd.
But its not recognising it on the infected laptop.It keeps saying path not known.

Dont think youll be able to
just put the file on your desktop and install, run, update and scan in safe mode with networking:idea:0 -
It wont allow me to go into safe mode..It keeps hanging everytime I tried.You can't keep a good man down...0

the only way of putting files onto a cd then is on another computer
and if the ibnfected computer cant SEE the drive then thats not going to work either im afraid
Id guess the only way around this one is to physically remove the hard drive and use ANOTHER computer to scan it:idea:0 -
I have just downloaded MBAM on to a cd and it could see it but wont do anything when I click the mbam iconYou can't keep a good man down...0

copy MBAM from the CD to the laptop desktop by right clicking on the file on the CD and selecting "copy", then minimise all the windows you have open and right click on the desktop and "paste"
right click on the file and rename it to something else , then try and run itEx forum ambassador
