I agree that soda crystals diluted in the mug works really well.I'm so sorry if you were enjoying this thread and mine is the last post!!
I seem to have a nasty habit of killing threads!0 -
I agree with the people who suggested sterilising fluid. Works really well for me (I buy the supermarket own brand).

Another vote for salt here, was shown that at my old work, had to do their tea cups when they started to get little stains on them. Sprinkle a little in the cup and rub, works a treat!:D0

My mum does the bleaching thing. Me on the other hand, my "special mug" is black, so you just can't really see the stains .
If it wasn't I'd bleach too though :rotfl:0 -
Soda crystals & a wee drop of water makes the stains just wipe off - is there anything soda crystals won't do? So far this morning they have cleaned mugs, made my sinks drain better and saved my teak garden table!!!!!Feeding 2 adults and 5 piglets aged 7 months, 7, 8, 10 & 13. Thank heaven for Aldi!:rotfl:

im a denture tablet fan too - half a tablet in really hot water works wonders.
i also use 2 tablets in the 2l flask my oh takes his coffee to work in! that gets a bit grubby and the dishwasher doesnt quite get it clean, but 2 tabs in hot water does the trick.
i use the cheapest denture tablets i can find - about 15p were the cheapest! (and i always seem to feel the need to explain why im buying them too ... :rotfl: ... dont want the cashier to think im wearing false teeth for some reason!!)wading through the treacle of life!

My mum always used Steradent when I was a child. She still gets tea-stained mugs, but I don't. I've come to the conclusion that it's because my parents only rinse their tea mugs out, while I always wash mine properly in soapy water.0
