I've used a little bit of that Oxy-action stuff on tea stained mugs and it works a treat.0

i agree with the bleach but for really bad tea staining i find a denture tablet makes a heck of a difference.
oddly that only one of my mugs ever suffers with it thoNonny mouse and Proud!!

Another vote for salt here...put a little bit of water in the cup and sprinkle salt round it, rub in with your fingers and rinse....quite a satisfying job...xx;)I HAVE NOTHING TO SAY;)0

thanks everyone, I'll give these suggestions a go.
It's an Alexander Skarsgard mug, he's too easy on the eye not to use it0 -
I use bicarbonate of soda on my tea and coffee mugs. Just mix a little with water to form a paste and use a cloth to rub the inside of the mug with it.
Bi carb is pretty much the thing I use for cleaning my kitchen now, as I've found it's good at degreasing things like the tiles at the back of the cooker as well.Unofficial Debt Free Wannabee.

Confession time
* I had to look up who he was
* I bleach my mugs but didn't want to admit that as it's not particularly OS
A secret santa bought me a mug with a man on, when you put hot water in it, his clothes kind of dissapear......I bleached it once and accidentally and got bleach on the outside of the mug and it damaged the errrrrrrm important parts :D:rotfl: and looks slightly disfigured :rotfl:
So the moral of the story is, if yer Alex dudes clothes fall off when you put hot water in, don't get bleach on the outside of the mugA little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men

A spoon of bio washing powder or liquid, top up with boiling water, leave for 10 mins then wash off as normal.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0

Bleach will whiten the stain but not remove it. Soaking in a soda crystal solution will remove it.0
